Bible Note: Jcsav I see where you’re going now and I agree to a point. I really question if one can move in the gifts of the Spirit if they are not saved. I understand your position on what Jesus said, chastening them for not knowing Him and not expressing His anger about them doing signs and wonders. However I think the assumption you make that the signs and wonders were authentic can not be established out of Jesus’ silence on the issue. It may have been Jesus simply didn’t mention that because the fact Jesus never knew them was a more serious offense. We see all through Revelations where Satan through the false prophet and the antichrist move in false signs and wonders also in Matthew 24:24 (NKJV) 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Notice what is says “if possible, even the elect.” I believe it is possible to deceive the elect because most don’t move in any form of discernment choosing simply to believe everything rather than question anything. We have eliminated critical thinking from the church and made Christianity pabulum for the masses never feeding them meat. EdB |
