AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], [Dan 7:25; 8:25; 1 Tim 4:1] |
Bible Question:
Knowing that there are two events that are preventing the return of Christ and our gathering to him. as clearly stated in (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4,8-110,and in conjuntion with what Jesus said in Matthew 24:29-31. that his return is after the tribulation. As there are only 2 ressurections regarding end time events and the first is after the antichrist has done what he will to those who do not serve him, Revelation 13;1-9,11-18. How can we say Christs return is imminent without these event taking place? M.Royal |
Bible Answer: M.Royal: Everyday that passes is one day closer to the return of Jesus. However not everyone would say that there are two events that are preventing the return of Jesus Christ. Some say that Jesus will return after the tribulation, others say in the Mid-Tribulation. I believe when Jesus gave us His instructions in matthew 24. That that is a better place to understand His return than a theory based on one verse. Perhaps, we have been told so often that Christians will not suffer tribulation, that when real seriouc tribulation comes into a persons life they can not cope with it. Perhaps, it's better tosay it is a real possibility that Christiand may and if fact do suffer greatly, and be prepared to suffer for Christ. I personally believe in the Historic Premillennialism point of view. This is not intended to be anything but a kind reminder that there is much toconsider. justme |
