AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], [Dan 7:25; 8:25; 1 Tim 4:1] |
Bible Question (short): What is apostasy? |
Question (full): What is apostasy? I personally believe that apostasy is when a person has come to a divine revelation but fails to act upon it. A person is exposed to the light of divine love and/or truth but may fail to 'act' upon such divine revelation. Perhaps nine out of ten people may fail to 'act' upon what has been revealed to them, thereby afterward falling back into darkness. When we 'act' upon the divine revelations that we recieve and continue to walk in them, we become 'locked' into the light. Am I correct in this? What is your perspective? Vince |
