AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], [Dan 7:25; 8:25; 1 Tim 4:1] |
Bible Question (short): Why do we teach otherwise? |
Question (full): Thanks CDBJ, The reason I asked is because with regard to Christs first advent and second advent there are no other advents/comings of Christ, so how is it that when the rapture is taught it is not in line with either the first advent which is plain that it could not be, or the second which according to scripture takes place at the last/seventh trumpet (1 Cor.15:51,52. Rev.10:7. Rev.11:15-19. The trumpets mentioned are found in Rev.8:-Revelation 11:.These trumpets are there as the consequence of the reign of the antichrist (Rev.14:8-10) With the understanding that according to the scripture, 1 Cor.15:51,52 is the last/seventh trumpet it can only take place after the tribulation, so why do we teach otherwise?
