AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! [John 14:3; 1 Cor 15:52; 2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23; Col 3:4] |

Bible Note: His angels accompany Christ in battle 'Both Christ and Paul taught that it would be His ANGELS that accompany Christ in battle during the day of the Lord (Mt. 16:27; 2 Th. 1:7-8).' following him: Matthew 16:27 (ESV) For the Son of Man is going to come with his ANGELS in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. (Emphasis added.) 2 Thes. 1:7-8 (ESV) and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty ANGELS [8] in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. (Emphasis added.) Rev. 15:6 (ESV) and out of the sanctuary came the seven angels with the seven plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests. 'At the great and final battle of Armageddon, "the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him [Christ] on white horses" (v.14). Simply because they are wearing white linen clothing some assume Christ's army must be the "bride of Christ," even though the angels are seen wearing the exact same clothing (Rev. 15:6). Both Christ and Paul taught that it would be His angels that accompany Christ in battle during the day of the Lord (Mt. 16:27; 2 Th. 1:7-8).'
