AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! [John 14:3; 1 Cor 15:52; 2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23; Col 3:4] |
Subject: Is the rapture biblically supported? |
Bible Note: Greetings Mommapbs! The question was a very limited one, so I intentionally kept my response very limited! :-) I never said anything about 'timing'. My point was simply to demonstrate that Scripture does indeed speak of a 'catching away', or as we commonly call it, a 'rapture'. Now, personally, I agree with you that the rapture will be 'pre-wrath'. In fact, over the years, I have come to believe that it may well be the event mentioned in Rev. 14:14-20. Thus, I would place the timing at the middle of Daniel's 70th week, or 3 1/2 years into the 7 year 'tribultion' (prior to God's wrath, but after much of the tribulation).
