I'm James. I've been a Christian for about a year and half. I thought I was a Christian for 19 years. I attended church (was actually confirmed in to the church) and was in the youth group. While I was in high school my brother became an atheist. This drove me to my Bible and to God, and I realized that I was sinner, that God would judge me, and that I needed to repent and trust in Jesus - so I did.

I didn't understand all of this at first. Only by looking at how I had changed did I know that I truly had trusted in Jesus (1 John 2:3-6). After I knew that I was saved I was baptized to show my obedience to my Lord's command. Now I want to tell everyone about my Savior.

I believe that many people today who make 'decisions' for Christ are false converts. This is the modern church's fault. Instead of preaching the Law and Judgment and then Christ's sacrifice, they say that God will give you happiness. When we say that to an unbeliever, he will think of worldy happiness. None of it makes sense unless we tell what sin is (Romans 7:7); that God will judge us by His standard and punish those who have sinned; and then tell how Christ's perfect sacrifice has redeemed them. Repentance (Luke 13:3) is scarcely preached either.

This November I will not be voting for either of the two main party candidates. One is definately not a Christian, while the other says he is but doesn't act like it.
