AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! Subject: Is the rapture biblically supported? |
Bible Note: Hi, Mark. Thanks for your input. I wrote a very long reply to you, but it doesn't seem to be here now, so I will start again. I do intend to contact you via e-mail to get your study notes on this subject, if you don't mind. That would be a wonderful help to me. My mind has been blown today because I have always been taught that all prophecies have been fulfilled and that Christ's return is imminent. I guess I have led a "sheltered" Christian life, because I don't know many Christians other than those who attend my church, and we get the same teaching, of course. Until today, I did not even know there was another view as to when the Rapture would occur! And, I want to thank you for pointing out that the "falling away" of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 would mean the Rapture, since, as you so rightly say, the church has always experienced spiritual falling away. That does make great sense. Your e-mail was very comforting to me. Thank you. God Bless you ALWAYS! Love in Christ Jesus, Janae. P.S. I looked at your profile, and could not determine how to contact you. |
