AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 1:4 just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight. In love |
Bible Question:
Is a man predestinated by God to salvation because he believes in Christ or is he enabled to believe in Christ because he is predestinated? |
Bible Answer: Intially i would say that the question is quite easy to answer as the Apostles prech in the book of Acts and indeed in the Gospel that Salvation is free to everyone jew and gentile. Then there are the 144,000 who are the Elect of God in that they are messianic jews presumably, whilst they are no greater than ordinary christians as Jesus was given for the World and god's promise to Abraham still stands. Secondly, Believing in Jesus is the highway to Salvation, having said that the scripture says in the Gospels that many who have belief in Jesus will not enter Heaven.(you know the scripture that says: Many will say to me on that Day: Lord Lord, we did this in your Name........And(He) Jesus says Depart from me.... etc etc. Knowing that NOT believing in Jesus is a sure way of NOT getting in on Salvation, so because we know the requirements of getting in, we should consider that and let the Lord decide on who comes in or not. |
