NASB | 1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE (the Father) HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS (Christ's) FEET. But when He says, "All things have been put in subjection [under Christ]," it is clear that He (the Father) who put all things in subjection to Him (Christ) is excepted [since the Father is not in subjection to His own Son]. Subject: Where can we go online to read the NWT? |
Bible Note: Hi Hank, Going to the used book store is an excellent suggestion. I believe that I purchased mine there and I buried it in my locker at work; and used it to understand the viewpoint of a friend at work. Now, after a recent retirement, I will be able to do the same here on the forum. But as you know, I'll go with the capitalized versions.:) The Jehovah's Witnesses do things that we can respect. Their willingness to share what they believe, their study of the material and Scriptures available to them, and their time spent in service are things that we can respect. I think that we have to teach our church members much more fully what the Scriptures teach. And we must have more love and acceptance of people as they are. We need to relate with people in a "God is not finished with us yet" attitude. Always learning and desiring to know God fully. Otherwise, people can be led astray by these that know their specific Scriptures well and who are evidently happy in their surroundings and feel loved by their fellow members. But as far as the used book store is concerned; I remember looking at the stacks of Bibles at Kregel's book store years and years ago. I was "searching" the Scriptures and I am happy that I was first led to the NASB. From the heart, Ray |
