NASB | 1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE (the Father) HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS (Christ's) FEET. But when He says, "All things have been put in subjection [under Christ]," it is clear that He (the Father) who put all things in subjection to Him (Christ) is excepted [since the Father is not in subjection to His own Son]. Subject: Where can we go online to read the NWT? |
Bible Note: I don't think I said WANTED to read it! The NWT translation (mis-translation?) is translated from the same Hebrew and Greek text that most of the bibles we use are translated from. That does not mean a whole lot in its self, but at least we can know what it should say. It is subject to the same examination with the originals as our bibles are and unlike the Mormon bible, Koran, etc, it is at least translated from what God called His WORD. That is not an examination that any honest JW should be opposed to because our bibles are subject to the same examination. I think that God's truth will always win out over satan's lies and I can't help but believe that God slipped enough of His Word in there to allow a JW to believe. That is where my interest lies. Most JWs are honest people who have been mislead and would really prefer to believe the truth. We must be willing to equip ourselves properly so we can show them the truth rather than confirm what they have been told about us by insulting them and slamming the door in their face. retxar |
