NASB | 1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE (the Father) HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS (Christ's) FEET. But when He says, "All things have been put in subjection [under Christ]," it is clear that He (the Father) who put all things in subjection to Him (Christ) is excepted [since the Father is not in subjection to His own Son]. Bible Note: I have read the full article from which your comments on the "unusual competence" of the New World Translation were taken; furthermore, I have read vast numbers of other comments rendered by a wide array of recognized scholars of biblical Hebrew and Greek. For every favorable comment on this translation there are literally scores of highly unfavorable ones. Open your eyes, Stokey, and look around you. You are being led down a primrose path of lies and deception. And you, in turn, on this forum are posting unbiblical and extra-biblical falsehood that could lead others astray if they paid any attention to and believed what you are saying. I don't. Perhaps some do. By the way, how do you like the way the translating committee of the Lockman Foundation, sponsors of this web site, translated the NASB, especially the verses pertaining to the deity of Jesus Christ, and particularly John 1:1? --Hank |
