Bible Note: Who are you to judge Paul, the Apostle, the human author of a large portion of the NT? His life and sufferings provide ample proof of the genuineness of his apostleship (see 2 Corinthians). Surely you do not wish to be numbered among those false prophets and teachers of Paul's day who were always unjustly criticizing him and attributing ulterior motives to him, do you? We have had our share of apostle bashing in the past, thank you. You are on thin ice when you start questioning Paul's apostolic authority, his character, his motives or the inspiration of Scriptures he wrote. No, you will not judge the Apostle Paul. Instead his inspired writings will judge YOU. Moreover to cast doubt upon this Bible author is to cast doubt upon the inspiration and authority of the Word of God itself. When you do so you are not edifying anyone. Take care. |
