Subject: Do our works keep us saved? |
Bible Note: Yes, Christ works in us and without that our works are useless, but we also work with Christ. We do not have to make an "either or choice". It is a "both and" reality, with God in the driver's seat. (YES, with God in the driver seat - but how often do we try to take the wheel?) And those who do not "work with Christ" - what does He do ? - He doesn't throw us away, but He disciplines us! (Heb 12) Those who have experienced the Lord's discipline have been trained by it - they know what the Lord's "woodshed" is like and respond in such a manner so as not to go back there! From Blackaby's "Experiencing God" I learned that God is at work all around us and He invites us to join Him in His work! This is not the same as working to earn God's favor. mommapbs |
