NASB | Romans 8:13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 8:13 for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. |

Bible Note: Acts 10:44-48,"While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who were listening to the Message. (45) And the believers from among the circumcised (the Jews) who came with Peter were surprised and amazed, because the free gift of the Holy Spirit had been bestowed and poured out largely even on the Gentiles." Now ask yourself, How did they know? The answer is given in verse (46) For they heard them talking in (unknown) tongues (Languages) and extolling and magnifying God. Note: this is clearly not the gift of tongues, the minor gift that you called it. This is the Holy Spirit. There is a difference. And where is Paul rule about speaking in no more than twos. Where is the interpreters. Where was it in the upper room. I will tell you. They do not apply. |
