Bible Note: Dear strts5, We are a Study Bible Forum. What we look for are teachings that are supportable from the Scriptures and from the Scriptures alone. You have made the statement that "all suffering is evil." Others have offered Biblical references to support the doctrine of the Sovereignty of God. Please provide us with explicit Bible references that support your affirmation about suffering. By the way, your position on suffering is not an uncommon one. Would you be surprised to learn that modern psychiatry and philosophy is based on that presupposition? Such a definitive statement as "all suffering is evil" ought to be clearly expressed in the Word. That would be the basis of our willingness to even begin to entertain it. Thank you for your participation in studying the Bible. In Him, Doc |
