Bible Note: Mitch, you're a newcomer to this Forum and as one of its oldest members in both age and time of service on Study Bible Forum, I've a few things to say to you and will say them frankly. You are directed to begin immediately to pay close attention to this Forum's guidelines. They include the stipulation that you are not to engage in rudeness or any form of personal attack toward another Forum member such as you did in the post to BradK, the post to which this post is a response. You are strictly forbidden to push denominational bias, such as you have been doing repeatedly in lionizing Kenneth Copeland and his Word-of-Faith teaching that the orthodox church has long rejected as being unscriptural and heretical. ..... I've been engaged today in reading your posts, and a quotation from Charles Haddon Spurgeon comes to mind: "It seems odd that certain men who talk so much of what the Holy Spirit reveals to themselves should think so little of what He has revealed to others." .... I leave you to ponder these words from a man who has been called the prince of preachers. And I leave you also with this firm reminder, Mitch. In the event that you find yourself unwilling or unable to abide by the rules of conduct set down by the owners of this Forum, your privilege to post further to it will, I assure you, be taken away. I personally wish you well and pray that the Holy Spirit will indeed guide you in your quest for the truth of God's blessed and eternal word. --Hank |
