Bible Question: i am looking for more scripture on how does one get anointed or has the anointing as a child ofGod. yow know how you see people are just anointed in certain areas of their lives. i know God gives gifts as he wills. but i would like to know some specifics on doing a teaching on why some are anointed and some aren't. thanks rainey |
Bible Answer: Hi Rainey, As some have previously pointed out, all believers are "anointed" (I think commissioned is a better term) for certain tasks according to Mark 16:15-20 with the promise of Him being with you. See Matthew 28:18-20, Heb. 13:5. I think you are confusing anointing with the gifts or purposes of each in the body. I Cor. 12 teaches on this. We each have a part in the body. God places us in the body as He chooses. You can't get anointed to do anything you are not created and placed in the body by God to do. I wonder what is it exactly that you are trying or wanting to do? Has God called you to teach? Then teach. Has God called you to be a shower of mercy? Then do so cheerfully. See Rom. 12:5-9. Don't try to do someone else's job. You are important as the part that God has created YOU to be. If you know what God has placed you in the body to do, then seek out mentors who can train you to serve God in all Joy and to His Glory in that area. God Bless you as you seek to do His will. Bows44 |
