Bible Note: Hi Janae, I don't see any annointing as "something to be experienced" in an experiential way. Rather, it is an act graced upon us by God on our behalf per 2 Cor. 1:21! Simply, we are annointed- an accomplished fact- as believers! I'm not sure how we would experience an annointing- if we're already annointed? Scripture tells me I'm annointed, so I walk by faith and believe it! There is no disrespect intended or implied by my comments. I simply do not see "annointing" as an additional or second type of blessing, because I do not see any scriptural basis for it. Can you provide any? There are probably some semantic issues whereby we associate "walking in the Spirit" (Gal. 5:16) with being annointed? How exactly would God annoint a song and the hearers? Can you give a more biblical explanation to help? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
