Subject: ever neccessary/permissable to deceit? |
Bible Note: tomsweetstir Two different scenarios. One is representing the gospel the other, the ones you gave, are justifiable actions in war. If we use deceit and deception to spread the gospel how do we convince others the gospel itself is not deceit and deception. Do we say we may look like snake oil salesmen and we may act like snake oil salesman but we aren't snake oil salesman this is the real product and expect people to beleive us. Is our action of deceit action of man or of God. In other words are we trusting God to make the way to spread the gospel or are we doing it our way. You brought up Abraham, God told Abraham he would have a son. Rather than wait for God's way he and Sarah devised a plan and Ishmael was the result. If God tells us to go into a country God will make a way for us to get in. I think Abraham would now disagree the end justified the means. EdB |
