Subject: Grace AND? |
Bible Note: Greetings Emmaus! We argee that justification is always initially by grace. The question where we may differ is whether or not our continuing justification is also by grace only. I believe that Scripture teaches that we are saved and kept by grace. Once justified, it is a finished transaction that is not ever dependent upon the things that I do. So, if I fail to pay my tithe this week, I don't cease to be justified. If I tell a lie, I don't cease to be justified. There is nothing that I can do or fail to do which can make me cease to be a Christian since salvation is not based upon what I do anyway. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
