Subject: Grace AND? |
Bible Note: Greetings Rowdy! I thought we had already addressed those points! :-) James 2 speaks of demonstrating our faith by our works, not earning salvation by our works. Mt. 25 speaks (many believe) of the judgement of nations before the millenial kinddom for how they treated Israel, not judgement of works for salvation. Concerning the vine, the fruits are a result of abiding in the vine, not the cause of abiding in the vine. Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 4, and Galations are all clear on this my friend. Works have no part in getting or keeping salvation. If they do, it is no longer grace. I don't have to go along my whole life worrying about whether or not I will be good enough to get to Heaven. I have been saved - past tense! If salvation were dependent upon us - none of us would make it! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
