Subject: Grace AND? |
Bible Note: Rowdy, I disagree with you here. Verse 4 is the imperative to Abide - we have a choice to abide in Christ or not. See John 6:56 - This is a reference to one's SALVATION. Only those that are IN THE VINE (those who are SAVED) CAN become fruitbearers, those that do not choose SALVATION IN CHRIST are NOT IN THE VINE. Once we are IN THE VINE, we also have a choice to let His fruitproducing life flow through us or not. The message that you are preaching is akin to placing a millstone around a neck - I am saved by GRACE and there is nothing that I can do or not do to be rejected at the judgment seat of Christ. HE has PAID my penalty for sin. I am JUSTIFIED by HIS finished work. Rowdy, let's agree to disagree on this. I'm sorry you are so worried about not measuring up on Judgement Day . . . Judgement Day is NOT for the believer. (1 John 4:15-18) blessings, mommapbs |
