Bible Note: thetowns: It is an interesting and not unanimously agreed upon question. I too take the view that Judas never repented- simply because we don't have any scriptural basis for knowing he did! However, I do believe that the passage you cited from Matt. 27:3-5 does shed some light when understood by 2 Cor.7:10: "For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death."
