Bible Note: Mommapbs, I am saying, Matthew 24 HAS BEEN FULFILLED according to what Jesus proclaimed to His disciples. Today, too many believe what they read in fictional books and movies about the “end-times, RATHER than understand what Scripture and HIS-story told us how those same “end-times” occurred. MY position on the “end-times”, as described in the Revelation of Jesus Christ to John, is best explained this way. I began with the “You might not make it home from Church before the rapture.” Of course, as a new believer, I believed it because it was what I was taught, even if the teaching was gross error. Then I met someone who told me I had to go through the terrible tribulation. What confused me was he used the same verses to prove his point. This made me into a Berean-type. I studied to prove “my theory”. But the deeper I allowed my studies to go the more questions I had. Those many questions ONLY brought answers from Scripture which disproved “my theory”. For example: 1st Cor. 15:51 showed me a hole in my pre-trib theory. “…at the LAST trumpet, … we shall all be changed” brought the question, how many trumpets are there? Revelations counts out seven. What does Revelations say about the LAST one? Rev. 10:7 told me after the seventh (last) trumpet sounds, THEN the mystery of God, which He gave His prophets, would be FINISHED. What did God tell the prophets? That made me dig deeper into studing them. From my ongoing studies, I have discovered what the multitudes who have gone before me discovered. The sounding of the LAST trumpet DID exactly what God said it would do in Matt. Mark, Luke, etc. The Scripture is FULL of “clues” to help us understand the “mystery”. Finally I was able to honestly believe, not merely assent, that ALL Scripture CAN BE used for “refuting error”. For me to believe otherwise I would have to discount 2 Tim 3:16, because all the other theories HAVE TO “leave out” too much of the “ALL Scripture.” Blessings upon you, Taleb |
