Subject: An interesting discussion/question |
Bible Note: Hi, CoG... Nice thought, but I can unequivocally assure you there are those who God doesn't want in His presence (Jeremiah 15:1-4; Zechariah 11:8-9; Revelation 3:16; etc. etc.). Now, that doesn't mean that the rest of us our sweet, little, lovable fur-balls. God effectually draws His elect to Himself, through faith alone, by grace alone, by the atonement of Christ alone, to God's glory alone. I think you confuse the free offer of the gospel with God's eternal purpose. Salvation is through no other than Jesus Christ. If the heathen in Africa is to be saved, nothing on earth, under earth, or above the earth will prevent his hearing the gospel. He'll hear the gospel. More than that, the Holy Spirit will enable his ability to respond. Then the Holy Spirit will daily and continually cause him to grow in Christ-likeness, and raise him to glory. Our God doesn't shoot blanks, no matter what kind of hypothetical questions we ask. In Him, Doc |
