Subject: Is there middle ground? |
Bible Note: Charis Well said, I think many would be wise to heed you in this. I don't know how to articulate this but the more I examine the salvation experience the more I'm convinced it is beyond understanding. More importantly it can not be summed up in a few well chosen words. I have seen preachers preach at a person and the person believed he was talking to someone else. At other times I have seen a preacher talk about the weather and have someone jump up and ask Jesus into their heart. In the inverse I have seen preacher preach to someone and they receive salvation and while others chose to reject it. I have seen people resist salvation for years only to relent and I have seen others passing by walk in and ask for prayer. I have seen many that claimed to be saved have a real salvation experience and I have seen the worst of the worst come to Jesus. I have seen a preacher that can speak only English preach salvation and woman that understands only Spanish hear every word and receive Jesus. Each one was unique, each one as miraculous as the other, and each one reassures me I have no understanding of the process much less a way to articulate it. EdB |
