Subject: Is there middle ground? |
Bible Note: Greetings Schwartzkm, Tim, and all you fellow Saints! I believe that there can never be any such "middle" ground or "truce" between Calvinism and Arminianism. To do so would be to compromise the Blood of Christ. The Essential question that divides Calvinism from Arminianism is: just WHOSE sins were covered by the Blood of Christ on the cross? And this fundamental, irreconciliable difference between Arminianism and Calvinism will always ensure that the two will be kept apart from each other, with no hope of coming to a conclusion, always to exist as each other's shadow.. Calvinists believe that the Blood of Christ covered only the sins of the "elect." Arminians believe that the Blood of Christ paid for the sins of the whole world. There we have it! A fundamental, irreconciliable difference that is beyond repair, only to exist in round after countless round of debate until Jesus Himself comes back to straighten it all out.. Blessings to everyone, Nolan |
