Subject: What was Jesus doing in the earth 3 days |
Bible Note: Praying For the Dead Psalms 6:4-5 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? Heb. 9:26-27 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Luke 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God." Psalms 115:18 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. Deu 18:9-12 "When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a Necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee." I am pretty sure what the Lord thinks about praying for the dead. |
