Bible Question:
Why would Jesus bother to preach to those who'd already lost their chance for salvation? Doesn't each of us have to choose to believe or not believe while still living? And even if Christ had not yet come, isn't each person judged based on whether they believed in God and waited in anticipation for Christ to come? Why would he preach to the unsaved. What would it accomplish? Chusarcik |
Bible Answer: Hello, Chusarcik. Unlike the religious philosophers of His time, or of any other time, Jesus had the faculty of reducing His thought on any subject to the simplest and plainest terms possible. One day Jesus sat down at a table and many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down at the table with Him and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw what was going on, they asked Jesus' disciples essentially the same question you have asked, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" When Jesus heard their question, He responded, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick." [Matthew 9:9-12] ..... Did Jesus answer your question, Chusarcik? --Hank |
