Subject: "Who ONCE were disobedient" is about? |
Bible Note: Word Study ... ajpeiqhvsasivn pote ... Makarios, my brother and friend ... you are welcome to jump in, at any time. In the Greek it is ajpeiqhvsasivn (disobedient) pote (once) I couldn't find ajpeiqhvsasivn ... but did see apeiqeo in the lexicon for this verse. I am not sure of the relation. apeiqeo (Strong's 544) 1. not to allow one's self to be persuaded - to refuse or withhold belief - to refuse belief and obedience 2. not to comply with pote (Strong's 4218) which is from the base of (4225) and (5037) ... once i.e. formerly, aforetime, at some time pou (Strong's 4225) where?, in what place? te (Strong's 5037) not only ... but also both ... and as ... so I looked up pote ... and see that one had changed. I realize thinking these are the other seven may be unique. You do know I don't always agree with the experts. S |
