Subject: Does God endorse polygamy? |
Bible Note: Hello Don My point in Ex 21:10 is that "another wife" was a woman that was officially married instead of the slave girl. Not one married in addition to the slave girl. That was the reason for ensuring she not lose in the future what had been given her to the present time. After creation was completed God said it was very good. That solidifies the conclusion of the proper roles and relationships of the marriage. Your statement: "...the attempt to draw absolutes from the lack of solid information within the text is credulous at best." And yet your entire argument is built on this very premise. Hypocritical, don't you think? Steve |
