Bible Note: EdB Thanks for the encouragement. I believe in changing my theology to fir the scriptures, not changing scriptures to fit my theology. In this case, Glenn referred me to a site that listed the oldest known copy of Luke. It omitted Cainan, which strengthened his point. All the external evidence seems to point to Noah's flood happening right near 3000 BC, but I must consider the Bible pointing to either this time or to the 2200 BC/2400 BC time pointed to by the interpretation omitting Cainan.
