AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth." Subject: So...what is your theory? |
Bible Note: Dear Zerotheory, The problem is not that people do not believe in God. The problem is that they will not worship Him as He is. Rom 1:20-22 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, It is my experience that you can waste a lot of precious time dicussing philosophical theories with unbelievers. Even if you do force an atheist to begrudgingly agree to the existence of God, it is still a long way to persuade him in a belief in the God of the Bible. Salvation or faith in Christ are not achieved through intellectual debate. They occur as a direct result of God's grace toward an individual. Faith is given as a gift. Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God Just present the gospel and trust the Holy Spirit to bring them to spiritual life. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek John |
