NASB | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth." Bible Note: You wrote: 'Let me ask you a question; Do you think that the God you know is the "EXACT" same God as anyone else knows? If your answer is "yes" then why all the discussion? If your answer is "No" then there God is different then yours.' Hank and I believe in the same God. We differ in a few respects on what He is like and how He operates, but that is a far cry from saying we believe in different Gods. The problem is not God being "different" for me and "different" for Hank. Our God is the same, but our problem is in our understanding of God. And by "our," I mean "Hank's." ;) --Joe! |
