501 | How do you even begin to witness? | 1 John 5:7 | lionheart | 153124
Samantha, Dearest sister you are not alone in having these kind of feelings. Know that as you grow in your relatioship with God you will grow in confidence with how you live your daily life. Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Take this verse to heart, make it a daily watchword for your life. Take a look at Ephesians 3:20. There are so many ways we can share our faith. There isn't any one method to sharing your faith. As you evidence a changed life that is going to be a wittness in itself.Your friends will see and you will be able share with them what God is doing in your life. Dont be afraid to let people see who and what you are. Most people will respect that. God will always have your back. He'll give you what you need for every situation. Just remember this, you never stand alone. Read Romans chapter 8 it will greatly encourage you. In Christ, lionheart |

502 | Was I wrong? | 2 John | lionheart | 194251
Jesus_Keeps_Me, Welcome to the forum. Why did these folks come to you? Were you able to share your faith with them. Verse ten of 2 John tells us not to invite them in. (False Teachers) John tells us not to show hospitality to false teachers. Who were these folks? Were they atheists, Agnostic??? I know brothers who were former atheists who are today standing disciples of Jesus Christ. I think John was referring to those who were teaching a false Gospel. Paul even refers to individuals like this. We were all unbelievers at one time. Was this something they were teaching or were you just dealing with some folks who simply don't believe. In Him, lionheart |

503 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | lionheart | 143553
When did asking for charity equate to false teaching? I've known a number of individuals who's only means of support comes from the people and organizations they reach out to.Does this make them false teachers,I think not.Go back and look at post #143547.If this is amatter of what to support or not then do some homework and find out what they are all about. If it's for a godly purpose then give it some thought,if not then you know what to do. In Christ, lionheart |

506 | SEven spirits of God ? | Revelation | lionheart | 173921
remodeled, Greetings, the passages you are refering to are in Revelation 4:5,5:6. The number seven has had some very significant conotations through out scripture. Completion,fullfillment,perfection... There has been some confusion as to two passeges in Revelation 4:5 and 5:6. This has also been transelated the sevenfold Spirit. I had always wondered if this ment seven spirits? But when taken in light of Ephesians 4:4 (one Spirit)it offers another view or approach to these two passages in Revelation. It helped me gain some understanding that I didnt previously have. Hope this helps. In Christ, lionheart |

509 | The Red Writing | Rev 1:1 | lionheart | 141869
Hello brother,if it's sister no insult intended. I will presume you are refering to the verses that are printed in red in the Gospels. If not please set me straight. Back when I was a kid we had no red letter addition bibles. It was all black letters. It's my impression that when they started printing the red letter edititon bibles it was to identify the words spoke by Jesus. The gospels do teach that we are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Revelation 7:13,14 I believe while it speaks of those who are saved out of the great tribulation,it talks about also the cleansing power of His blood. 1 Jn 1:7,9 When I read these verses I like to think,it keeps on cleansing. What Jesus did was a one time thing. He died for every sin I've ever commmitted and ever will commit. Therfore the phrase it keeps on cleansing. ICor 1:18 tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved and to those being saved its the power of God.Thats huge! Check out 1 Cor 2:14. You can see these things because you are a born again son of God and it is(Col 1:27) Christ in you. When I think about that it Absolutly blows me away. My friend we are able to the things of God because we are his sons. Whether the words Jesus spoke in the gospels are printed in red or black they dont add or take anything away from what we read in Rev 7:13,14. If it helps to keep you closer to God and make you stronger outstanding. Make sure you understand 2 Peter 1:21,22 and your doing 2 Timothy 2:15. Doc, Kalos,Ray, help me out here if I'm missing something here. I dont wanna be pushing anyone away or confuse them. tduplechain Godbless you. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

510 | are we free? | Rev 3:16 | lionheart | 140487
Kevin my brother in Christ the law of the land or societies standards have little to do with our freedom. It's the Christ in you (Col1:27) that makes you truly free. It's an inside job. You got your freedom when you made Jesus Christ Lord and Savior. Read Romans 8. Our strength and confidence come from God. My brother pray every day and strive to make Gods Word your own .(2Tim2:15) Stay strong my brother. Yours in Christ lionheart |

511 | in the study bible explain who miss God | Rev 3:20 | lionheart | 201222
LASHIMA9, Revelation 3:20 is often quoted out of context. This verse is often used in regards to salvation. But in context of Jesus admonition to the church at Laodicea where people were just flat out lukewarm and not living as disciples of Jesus Christ. It's to this problem that Revelation 3:20 is directed and is just as applicable to us today as it was back in the first century church. In Him, lionheart |

512 | explain seven spirits of God | Rev 5:6 | lionheart | 199323
whippie, Take a look at Ephesians 4:4-6. This will help when trying to understand passages like Rev 5:6. This particular passage can be confusing if not taken in light of already established scriptures. I'm not into numerology but there are certain numbers that do carry some significance, seven being one of them. Seven is used when refering to Godly or spiritual perfection or completeness. There are translations where Rev 9:5 is rendered sevenfold spirit of God. This isn't my strongest area of knowledge but I hope it helps. In Him, lionheart |
