441 | Scripture above scripture? | 2 Tim 3:16 | lionheart | 205372
WOS, Good morning brother. No I don't necessarily think your being too sensitive. The basic tenet of scripture according to 2 Timothy 3:16,17 is that it's all God breathed. We may place more focus on certain segments of scripture than others, But! We gotta take the bible as a whole. We gotta remember That God is the author, men may have penned it but God authored it and did not place any more validity on one part than the other. People can't afford to discount any part of God's Word. It helps to keep Romans 15:4 in mind. I will say this though there may be some manuscripts that may be more accurate than others but we gotta be careful with that. In Him, lionheart |

443 | Do you have Elections of Church? | Titus | lionheart | 200641
Grace7044, I don't know about voting for church leadership but when it comes to appointing leadership in the fellowship including Pastors. What are the guidelines and qualifications established in the Bible. That's the bottom line when considering issues like this. Look at Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Timothy chapter 3, they will help give you a better understanding and help guide you in the decisions you will have to make. In Him, lionheart |

445 | Proove that Jesus was the son of God | Titus 2:12 | lionheart | 153209
Greetings KTQ and welcome to the forum.Titus 2:12,13 states things quite clearly. The Gospels present numerous references to Jesus and his identity. The main problem you may encounter with people will be there denial that Bible is the inspired word of God. Because any ground you have to stand is going to be the result of what you gain from God and his Word. In Christ, lionheart |

446 | Is not Jesus the true God?I Jon 5:20 | Titus 2:13 | lionheart | 208926
Timoteoarao, Having come out of a cult almost twenty years ago I can tell you this. These groups like the one I was in for seven and a half years will teach that Jesus was The Son of God but not God. And let me tell you they could take you to the Bible make it look good. My council to you is to spend time with God and His Word every day. 2 Tim 2:15 study it make it your own. Jesus is who the bible says He is who He says he is. When we keep our hearts and minds in the Word daily then we too will know beyond the shadow of a doubt who Jesus is. These groups all have an agenda and it can be easy to get fooled. Be a 2 tim 2:15 disciple Jesus Christ you will go far. Look at Titus 2:13 this will help you too. In Him, lionheqart |

448 | Not able to Teach ! | Titus 3:2 | lionheart | 167146
Grace7044, You pose a very valid question. We all have God given talents, teaching and instruction being one of many. We all have a gift or talent. Paul tells us in Romans to use the talents and gifts that God has given us. 2 Timothy 2:15,3:16,17, Colossians 3:16 become vital for all of us. In a matter of speaking we are all teachers, it may not be what we are specificly called to but in one way or another we do be it in sharing our faith,in discipling relationships that we may enter into. We even see this reflected in Jesus great commission to the apostles in Matthew 28:18-20. God puts people in certain positions for a reason,we as disciples of Jesus Christ must lend support and encouragement when ever and where ever as opportunity presents itself. Even those who teach need teaching, so it goes none of us will ever get it done on our own. In Christ, lionheart |

449 | Why effects of forgiven sins? | Hebrews | lionheart | 174500
brazos, Greetings. You are quite correct in what you just stated. The sin is forgiven. That doesnt necessarily mean we escape the consequences of what we have done in the past. A workable example would be the case of a young lady named Karla Fay Tucker who was executed by the state of Texas a number of years ago.She sat on death row for quite a number of years.During this time God worked major changes in her heart and life and at the time of her death she left this world in the full assurence that she was a disciple of Jesus Christ. She had been forgiven but still had to deal with the consequences of her sin. This example is somewhat extreme but it offers us a clear picture. Now I dont say there havent been times God hasnt spared us the consequences because I believe God has shown us all much grace at various times in life where consequences are concerned. But not always,he will allow us to suffer things to draw us closer to Him and to shape and mold our character. Hebrews 12:5-11. Even as disciples of Jesus Christ we will still blow it,thank God for 1 John 1:9. This is a passage of scripture that bares application everyday. Hope this helps. In Christ, lionheart. PS: There is no such thing as cheap grace. |

450 | Saved or not ? | Hebrews | lionheart | 188876
justme, Hello again brother. This is on oft discussed and at the same time a much misunderstood subject as many others believe and profess that one does not lose thier salvation.Jesus stated clearly in the Gospels that those who belonged to him could not be taken from Him.In response to your question, yes there are those who are not genuinely saved.I was one of those for allot of years.Anyone can hang a label on themselves. But at some point in time all will come to that bottom line,They will know for certain whether or not they are saved. If one looks at the bible with an open heart and open eyes there is no grey area in regards to salvation. Now when we say fall or fall away we come to a much different inference. When we refer fall or fall away it's not about loosing as much as foresaking what one has and this is something that Hebrews 6 touches on. It's quite impossible to lose somthing you never had to start with. This may not be what allot of folks wanna hear but I would rather err on the side of safety than on the side of assumption. Paul makes a very powerful statement in 2 Corinthians 12:5 When he tells us to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith,we are exhorted to examine ourselves. This is a huge wakeup call for all. Where do we stand in relation to The Word of God? If one aproaches this question with a 2 Timothy 2:15 heart there can be no doubt for anyone. In Him, lionheart |

452 | Love,courtship and Fashion? | Heb 3:13 | lionheart | 155963
cayra, Grettings. The world has such a skewed view of dating.I'ts about finding a mate (the one) or someone that we can live with. As christians we gotta forget that.Heb 3:13 But encourage one another daily as long as it is called today,so that none of you may be hardened by sins's deceitfulness.Dating in the kingdom is about encouraging one another, helping each other make it to heaven.Don't get me wrong,if one goe's on dates eventually we will find an interest and it will be a pure relationship, one that will draw you both closer to God.God truly wants to bless his people,it's gotta be on his terms. Matt 6:33 we must keep God first at all times, when we do that God will and can grant us the desires of our hearts. In Christ, lionheart |

453 | Heb6:4-6 Loosing salvation or what? | Heb 6:4 | lionheart | 207535
Beja, One does not nor neither can they lose their salvation. Now walking away from God is a whole other story. 1 John 3:7-9 case in point, Most will agree that we all sin every single day conscious or otherwise. Now we as disciples of Jesus Christ can do one of two things, We can repent 1 John 1:9 and continue in faith with our Lord and Savior or we can willfully choose to continue to continue in the sin that we get ourselves into 1 John 3:9 in which case that individual puts his/her self in grave danger. Folks it's up to individuals (disciples) to nurture and cultivate their walk with God daily. If we choose not to do so....? In Him, lionheart |

460 | important | Heb 10:24 | lionheart | 144638
Good day and God bless 9-1-1.Genesis 2:18a-The the Lord God said,It is not good for the man to be alone. God wastes np time in letting us know where his heart is at. God is not an isolationist. Our God is a relational God.He's about relationships. It's never been Gods intention that anyone should be alone. To those who say they dont need to go to church to worship God,fine.I would seriously wonder where that individuals heart is at.Going to Church is about so much more than worshipping God,it's important dont get me wrong but there is more to the picture.Hebrews 10:24,25 Read this.God didnt create any lone rangers. We need each other,God knew that we couldnt make it on our own.The old addage there is strength in numbers is right on target.Church while it is a time of worship is also a time of learning,a time of encouragment, prayer. It's a time for the body to be united together.Prayerfully this is'nt the only time we make for these things in our walk with God.None of us will make it to heaven alone.Think about it.Thats part of the reason God made us brothers and sisters in Him. In Christ, lionheart |
