461 | Do we continue to serve God after death? | Acts 3:22 | jlpangilinan | 27362
1. My answer to your first Question:Maybe we still serve Him after death Re 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: Re 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. For your second question, here is my answer. The transfugaration of Moses and Elijah has deep meaning. Of course you can disagree if you find it not ok with you. Mt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Mt 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. Mt 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. At verse 17:4 "Peter said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias." It is peter suggested to Jesus Christ to build three tabernacles, at 17:5 "While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." "While he yet spake" Before Peter spake He is going to say: The God the father told them: "said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." They are three of them at that moment, it was Jesus Christ, Moses, and Elias. Why the God the father said "hear Him" and not "hear them" Meaning it is Jesus we are going to listen, to His teaching. We are going to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, if the teaching of moses is not included in the teaching of Jesus Christ we are not going to follow it anymore, because we are not justified by the law of Moses: Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. But I am not saying that we are going to exclude all of teaching of Moses, but those teaching that including in the the teaching of Jesus Christ are still we are going to observe it. For example honor thy parent, this teaching are continue taught by Christ and His deciples, we are to follow this. I think that is the real meaning "it Jesus Christ we are going to listen because He is the truly Mout of God: De 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. It is also moses said it was Jesus we are going to listen Ac 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. I hope it helps God bless, Johnny |

462 | Any works allowed on the Sabbath? | Mark 1:21 | jlpangilinan | 27353
All good things you can do in sabbath. Here are the few verses that I can back up my answer: Mt 12:1 they went to corn fields Mr 1:21 Jesus taught in the day of Sabbath. Mr. 3:4 Which is lawful to do good or do evil in the day of sabbath? Also Jesus Chris heal sick people in the day of sabbath. In our time healing is more applicable, in the hospital if the doctors will not attend to patient on Sundays (Sabbath) there are too many lives will be in danger. God bless, Johnny |

463 | To Nazareth from Jerusalem or Egypt? | Luke 2:39 | jlpangilinan | 27335
Mt 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 11. Mt 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. Mt 2:13 ¶ And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. Mt 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: The wise men visit Jesus in betlehem after that, Joseph and Mary flee to egypt as warn of an angel. 464 | Was Paul Eloquent? | Ex 4:10 | jlpangilinan | 26970
The person that you mention was MOSES: Ex 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.1 2 Paul has best education in his life, a teacher a lawyer at the same time. Paul Saul was born about the same time as our Lord. His circumcision-name was Saul, and probably the name Paul was also given to him in infancy "for use in the Gentile world," as "Saul" would be his Hebrew home-name. He was a native of Tarsus, the capital of Cilicia, a Roman province in the south-east of Asia Minor. That city stood on the banks of the river Cydnus, which was navigable thus far; hence it became a centre of extensive commercial traffic with many countries along the shores of the Mediterranean, as well as with the countries of central Asia Minor. It thus became a city distinguished for the wealth of its inhabitants. Tarsus was also the seat of a famous university, higher in reputation even than the universities of Athens and Alexandria, the only others that then existed. Here Saul was born, and here he spent his youth, doubtless enjoying the best education his native city could afford. His father was of the straitest sect of the Jews, a Pharisee, of the tribe of Benjamin, of pure and unmixed Jewish blood (Ac 23:6; Php 3:5). We learn nothing regarding his mother; but there is reason to conclude that she was a pious woman, and that, like-minded with her husband, she exercised all a mother influence in moulding the character of her son, so that he could afterwards speak of himself as being, from his youth up, "touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless" (Php 3:6). We read of his sister and his sister's son (Ac 23:16), and of other relatives (Ro 16:7,11-12). Though a Jew, his father was a Roman citizen. How he obtained this privilege we are not informed. "It might be bought, or won by distinguished service to the state, or acquired in several other ways; at all events, his son was freeborn. It was a valuable privilege, and one that was to prove of great use to Paul, although not in the way in which his father might have been expected to desire him to make use of it." Perhaps the most natural career for the youth to follow was that of a merchant. "But it was decided that...he should go to college and become a rabbi, that is, a minister, a teacher, and a lawyer all in one." |

467 | How can we understand Genesis 3:15? | Genesis | jlpangilinan | 25580
I hope this would help you. Ge 3:15 v14,15 God passes sentence; and he begins where the sin began, with the serpent. The devil's instruments must share in the devil's punishments. Under the cover of the serpent, the devil is sentenced to be degraded and accursed of God; detested and abhorred of all mankind: also to be destroyed and ruined at last by the great Redeemer, signified by the breaking of his head. War is proclaimed between the Seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. It is the fruit of this enmity, that there is a continual warfare between grace and corruption, in the hearts of God's people. Satan, by their corruptions, buffets them, sifts them, and seeks to devour them. Heaven and hell can never be reconciled, nor light and darkness; no more can Satan and a sanctified soul. Also, there is a continual struggle between the wicked and the godly in this world. A gracious promise is here made of Christ, as the Deliverer of fallen man from the power of Satan. Here was the drawn of the gospel day: no sooner was the wound given, than the remedy was provided and revealed. This gracious revelation of a Saviour came unasked, and unlooked for. Without a revelation of mercy, giving some hope of forgiveness, the convinced sinner would sink into despair, and be hardened. By faith in this promise, our first parents, and the patriarchs before the flood, were justified and saved. Notice is given concerning Christ. 1. His incarnation, or coming in the flesh. It speaks great encouragement to sinners, that their Saviour is the Seed of the woman, bone of our bone, Heb 2:11,14. 2. His sufferings and death; pointed at in Satan's bruising his heel, that is, his human nature. And Christ's sufferings are continued in the sufferings of the saints for his name. The devil tempts them, persecutes and slays them; and so bruises the heel of Christ, who is afflicted in their afflictions. But while the heel is bruised on earth, the Head is in heaven. 3. His victory over Satan thereby. Christ baffled Satan's temptations, rescued souls out of his hands. By his death he gave a fatal blow to the devil's kingdom, a wound to the head of this serpent that cannot be healed. As the gospel gains ground, Satan falls. |

468 | who was zebedee | Matt 4:21 | jlpangilinan | 25579
Zebedee a Galilean fisherman, the husband of Salome (q.v.), and the father of James and John, two of our Lord's disciples (Mt 4:21; 27:56; Mr 15:40). He seems to have been a man of some position in Capernaum, for he had two boats (Lu 5:4) and "hired servants" (Mr 1:20) of his own. No mention is made of him after the call of his two sons by Jesus. |

469 | In what way did Christ fulfill the Law? | Rom 7:4 | jlpangilinan | 24777
Christ fulfill the Law? Yes! If you observe the two great commandments, what is it in the law of moses did you disobey. Nothing He is not destroy the law or any part of it: Mt 5:17 ¶ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 17. Mt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 18. Mt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus Christ just show us how to implement it. Sabbath: Jesus Christ do good things in sabbath whats wrong with that? Mr 3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. Mt 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. It is the implementation my friend: Included in the law of moses the teaching of "Thou shall not Kill" but it is also included in the same law whosoever saw did anything in the day of sabbath is punishable by death(stoned to death) there are conflict such as teaching. Another example: Joh 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Joh 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 7. Joh 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. Joh 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. Why Jesus Christ not allows those people to stone that woman? Adultery is punishable by death in the law of moses. How about the teaching "thou shall not kill"? If Jesus Christ allow those people to kill that woman by stoning her It is the same that He allows those people to disobey the teaching of "Thou shall not Kill". It is in the implementation my friend, Follow the two great commandments that given to us, there is no conflict on it. I hope it would helps, Johnny |

470 | Empty inside being a Roman Catholic? | James 2:17 | jlpangilinan | 24768
Catrose62 I saw many advice for you, they are great. I hope you have time to read mine. Convincing other people to change thier belief is very hard without the interventions of Holy Spirit. My question to you is what is your religion, what are your doctrine in your own church? You can convince other people that your believed is true not because you are very good in the debate, or you almost know what is written in the bible, but by setting your self as an example. If we other people think that our faith is the true is just show it to them. We can convince them if they saw that we really follow the doctrine of a true Christian, it is really in our daily life. If you are a baptist or a pentecostal show it to him that your believed is true not by telling him that his believed is wrong but to show him the fruit of a true Christian. Pray for him ask the guidance of the Lord (I know you do) I am not a catholic, at in my own views what I can say yes we notice of too many different of thier doctrines, but then it is God will justify of us all! We cannot say that all of them will go to heaven or go to hell it is only God can justify that. I have many friends belongs to that congregations and they are good persons, so I always pray for them, God has his own way of justifying people, it is in His hand. If your husband saw that people from your congregation did the right things always, it is not hard to convince your husband to change his belief. He himself will notice the beauty of your congregation and then if he realize that he himself will ask you to help him how to practice your believed. What can say is"show him the fruit of a true christian. True Christian cannot recognize as a good debater or a good preacher but as a good fruit, because it was mentioned in the scriptures that: Mt 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Mt 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. I am not telling that you are not doing what I mentioned here. Just a friendly reminder. We in our congregation we are not really imposing that we are the right, but we tried to show the good fruit of it. God bless, Johnny |

471 | Who were the Moabites | Ruth | jlpangilinan | 24760
For more information about Moabites. Moabite the designation of a tribe descended from Moab, the son of Lot (Ge 19:37). From Zoar, the cradle of this tribe, on the south-eastern border of the Dead Sea, they gradually spread over the region on the east of Jordan. Rameses II., the Pharaoh of the Oppression, enumerates Moab (Muab) among his conquests. Shortly before the Exodus, the warlike Amorites crossed the Jordan under Sihon their king and drove the Moabites (Nu 21:26-30) out of the region between the Arnon and the Jabbok, and occupied it, making Heshbon their capital. They were then confined to the territory to the south of the Arnon. On their journey the Israelites did not pass through Moab, but through the "wilderness" to the east (De 2:8; Jg 11:18), at length reaching the country to the north of the Arnon. Here they remained for some time till they had conquered Bashan (see Sihon; Og). The Moabites were alarmed, and their king, Balak, sought aid from the Midianites (Nu 22:2-4). It was while they were here that the visit of Balaam (q.v.) to Balak took place. (See Moses.) After the Conquest, the Moabites maintained hostile relations with the Israelites, and frequently harassed them in war (Jg 3:12-30; 1Sa 14:1-52). The story of Ruth, however, shows the existence of friendly relations between Moab and Bethlehem. By his descent from Ruth, David may be said to have had Moabite blood in his veins. Yet there was war between David and the Moabites (2Sa 8:2; 23:20; 1Ch 18:2), from whom he took great spoil (2Sa 8:2,11-12; 1Ch 11:22; 18:11). During the one hundred and fifty years which followed the defeat of the Moabites, after the death of Ahab (see Mesha), they regained, apparently, much of their former prosperty. At this time Isaiah (Isa 15:1) delivered his "burden of Moab," predicting the coming of judgment on that land (comp. 2Ki 17:3; 18:9; 1Ch 5:25-26). Between the time of Isaiah and the commencement of the Babylonian captivity we have very seldom any reference to Moab (Jer 25:21; 27:3; 40:11; Zep 2:8-10). After the Return, it was Sanballat, a Moabite, who took chief part in seeking to prevent the rebuilding of Jerusalem (Ne 2:19; 4:1; 6:1). |

472 | Do you understand me? | Deut 7:2 | jlpangilinan | 24565
I decided not to continue, at least in this topic. Exchange of note is not that friendly anymore (in my own manisfestation) You post: Like do you grasp my word, do you hear that, Do you understand that! I am not participated in this forum to lose friends, as I mentioned what prove that I want for every reason is supported by passages. I am not hurt when someone call me arrogant(maybe offended if consider that if somebody that call u that is a fellow Christian) or whatsoever, but here in our place, you cannot say that in any moslims that they are arrogant and live long. That is why I'm embrace Christianity than Moslims. My mother was a moslim before and I am very thankful to my Dad that He converted my mom to a Christian believed. I am not saying that moslim (Islam) religion is wrong but I think it is not the right religion for me. I admit that maybe sometimes or many times I offended people elsewhere maybe here in this forum, that could be unintentional, and I am sorry for that. I love peace, war is too wide in our country, in Mindanao somebody would know that, and I dont like that. I dont like to be anger to anyone, not just because I am scared, NO, but I know it is not right. If I could not talk in this forum in a friendly manner,I understand that members of this forum is love Christianity. How could I love my enemies? How could I pray for them? How could I bless them? I really understand what do you mean, I am just looking if you can support your argument with passages, that only thing that I like, no nothing else. If you cannot so what? Are things changes because of that. My stand really if somebody has His reasons, supported it with passages. I think there is no wrong with that. See you in another topic. God bless, Johnny |

As God He knows how the feel of Guilt. Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. There is verses that mentioning the left of God, although it is idiomatic. Meaning if He put someone in His left they are in trouble. Mt 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. If you are in the right side, you are considered will go to heaven, if you are in the left side, meaning it is who is going to hell. God bless, Johnny |

477 | Is it ok to ask God for a sign? | John 20:29 | jlpangilinan | 24140
Thomas once doubt the ressurection of Christ from death. It is the same us christian sometimes we are doubting our faith in God. Your question is "Is it Ok to ask God for Sign" what sign really is that? a miracle? When Thomas doubting Christ, the Lord did not angry to Thomas, but He mentioned a very interesting lesson to them and to us: Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. In my own personal life, I asked myself many times, do I have to believed in God just because of a sign? or Do I believed in God because of the Miracles? If God will show it to me I will be thankful but if not I will be thankful too. Of course you and me and some other experiencing that we doubting our faith in Him. In my case sometimes I am doubting if there is really God, and thanks for overcoming it. Joh 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 25. Joh 20:26 ¶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 26. Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Maybe Thomas is an example to us if we sometimes doubting our faith to Jesus Christ. God bless, Johnny |

478 | Why Nadab and Abihu to go up mountain | Ex 24:1 | jlpangilinan | 24125
Ex 24:1 ¶ And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. Ex 24:2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him. The reason why because they are son of Aaron they worshiper of God. They accompany Moses, and they worship form afar off. It is only Moses went near the lord. Nadan and Abihu both died when they offer strange fire to the Lord: Le 10:1 ¶ And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. Le 10:2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. ABIHU father of Him; i.e., "worshipper of God", the second of the sons of Aaron (Ex 6:23; Nu 3:2; 26:60; 1Ch 6:3). Along with his three brothers he was consecrated to the priest's office (Ex 28:1). With his father and elder brother he accompanied the seventy elders part of the way up the mount with Moses. Nadab liberal, generous. (1.) The eldest of Aaron's four sons (Ex 6:23; Nu 3:2). He with his brothers and their father were consecrated as priests of Jehovah (Ex 28:1). He afterwards perished with Abihu for the sin of offering strange fire on the altar of burnt-offering (Le 10:1-2; Nu 3:4; 26:60). God bless, Johnny |

479 | speaking in tongues why is this so impor | OT general | jlpangilinan | 24052
In the day of pentecost fully come it was experienced of the Apostles of Christ: c 2:1 ¶ And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Ac 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. Ac 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Ac 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Ac 2:5 ¶ And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Ac 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. Ac 2:7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? Ac 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? As a Assemblies of God pentecostal before, I saw many things like that to our brothers and sisters. Speaking in tounge. I almost experience that also. But Nolan is correct nowehere in the bible that speaking in tounge is a requirements to have Holy Spirit. If it going to happened to you (speaking in tongue) you must be very thankful becuase you experienced the things that too few could be experience including the apotles that was mentioned in the Bible. But it is not a requirements. Thank you, God bless, Johnny |

480 | babtisim and two places when you die | John 3:5 | jlpangilinan | 23871
Your Question:"Do you need to be babtized to go to heaven?" Let us use the scriptures to answer your question. Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Also Jesus Christ required Himself to be baptize of John: Mt 3:13 ¶ Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But if you will ask if baptisim alone can save us? No. You can be baptized in the water how many time you want and it cannot save you. You have received Christ in your heart, by His grace you can be saved. You also have to have faith in Him that He is your saviour. And follow His commandments. For your second question: Also, are there two places to go when you die? Heaven and back here on earth: Are you refering to Heaven and Hell? If referring to those two: Here are the scriptures for that: Mt 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Mt 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. But if your question is are the spirit of Dead people can go back here on earth? No they cannot: Job 7:9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. 9. Torrey Job 7:10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more. Ec 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 5. Torrey Ec 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. I hope it would helps.
