421 | "none righteous" | Rom 3:18 | jlpangilinan | 33324
Ro 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Ro 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Ro 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Ro 3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 13. Ro 3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Ro 3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: Ro 3:16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: Ro 3:17 And the way of peace have they not known: Ro 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. If we read these verses through 3:18 we would understand who was Paul talking about and of whom not seeketeth God, those who are not fear God. As you mentioned Job, Enoch are good persons, Noah also considered as a "perfect" man in his generations: Ge 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. If we just read the romans 3:10 it will contradict the other part of the bible that stated that there are people who feard God, i.e. Moses, Abraham and other who are faithful to God. If we read 3:18 of romans it will explain that tho who are written in the 3:10 are those who are not feared God. I know you will agree that too many persons stated in the bible that followed God, especially the prophets. There are also explanations that Romans 3:10 means the corruption of man from his original righteous as "likeness and own image of God" as mentioned in Genesis. As we all know God created man "perfect" as His "Images and Likeness" but after the disobedience of man (adam and eve) those original righteous lost. And we need Jesus Christ to redeem from that lost. 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Here are some input from EASTON BIBLE DICTIONARY: "Disobedience of Man" is frequently and properly used to denote only the moral corruption of their whole nature inherited by all men from Adam. This inherited moral corruption consists in, (1) the loss of original righteousness; and (2) the presence of a constant proneness to evil, which is the root and origin of all actual sin. It is called "sin" I hope it would help God bless, Johnny |

422 | Can the church forgive sin? | Matt 9:6 | jlpangilinan | 33168
Mt 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. |

423 | Can the church forgive sin? | Matt 6:12 | jlpangilinan | 33166
When Jesus Christ taught us to pray, I think it is very clear that only God can forgive our sins: Mt 6:9 ¶ After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Mt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Mt 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread. Mt 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Chirch is subject unto Christ He is the head of Church so it is Him can forgive our sins: Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. |

424 | can u kill yourself an still get to heav | Ex 20:13 | jlpangilinan | 32451
It was written in the bible, "Ex 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. " it includes yourself. It is God has the authority to take anyone lives because He ws our creator. It is also written: Mr 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. How could you love yourselves by killing it or to get suicide. But your question really is if she still go to heaven? That questions only God can answer. It is God can justify if she go to hell or heaven. It is God knows everything why your foster mom killed herself. Wait until final judgement when you saw her in heaven thats the time you can assure where she is. God bless, Johnny |

425 | Isn't Jesus the ONLY WAY to heaven? | John 14:6 | jlpangilinan | 31845
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father Jesus said that He is the way to heaven, we must believed that instead of believing in others. Your question is "still want to exalt Mary and Saints can save" God only can justify that it is Him knows who are going to be with Him. For me for example I am very amazed of what Paul done in his evangelical journey and I dont think there is something wrong with that. But all the glory is for Jesus Christ, because Paul did what he has done because of his love to Jesus Christ. I think it wrong if you start praying for those saints, it is not biblical. Or you started knelling in thier images, bringing flowers, parade and all of things. |

426 | How much should you forgive? | 2 Tim 3:16 | jlpangilinan | 31826
Mt 18:21 ¶ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Mt 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Here are the clear example of Jesus Christ to Peter of how many time we should forgive. I know it is not a literal seven times seventy, but forgive as you can forgive meaning no limit. But forgiveness is different from tolerance the crime. For example if someone killed your brother you can forgive him but the law has to do with the killer. I dont think we just allow him that next time it is your father or mother he is going to kill and still we forgive him always. God bless, Johnny |

430 | Is it a sin to routine drink alcohol | 1 Corinthians | jlpangilinan | 31669
Dear TooTooSmart, No! it is not a sin to drink alcohol, make sure that you will not get drunk. Today in our time even doctors encourage some patients to drink some wine because it helps if you have problem like high blood pressure, but drink it moderately or maybe two shot a day. Even Paul encourage Timothy to do the same thing: 1Ti 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. So it is depend on why you are drinking alcohol or wine, if it will helps you it is fine. God bless, Johnny |

431 | type of wood the cross is made of | Eph 2:16 | jlpangilinan | 31498
I think it is not mention in the bible of what kind of wood used for the cross of Jesus Christ. (if somebody can give you its good) Easton Bible Dictionary Entry on Cross in the New Testament the instrument of crucifixion, and hence used for the crucifixion of Christ itself (Eph 2:16; Heb 12:2; 1Co 1:17-18; Ga 5:11; 6:12,14; Php 3:18). The word is also used to denote any severe affliction or trial (Mt 10:38; 16:24; Mr 8:34; 10:21). The forms in which the cross is represented are these: Crucifixion a common mode of punishment among heathen nations in early times. It is not certain whether it was known among the ancient Jews; probably it was not. The modes of capital punishment according to the Mosaic law were, by the sword (Ex 21:1-36), strangling, fire (Le 20:1-27), and stoning (De 21:1-23). This was regarded as the most horrible form of death, and to a Jew it would acquire greater horror from the curse in De 21:23. This punishment began by subjecting the sufferer to scourging. In the case of our Lord, however, his scourging was rather before the sentence was passed upon him, and was inflicted by Pilate for the purpose, probably, of exciting pity and procuring his escape from further punishment (Lu 23:22; Joh 19:1). The condemned one carried his own cross to the place of execution, which was outside the city, in some conspicuous place set apart for the purpose. Before the nailing to the cross took place, a medicated cup of vinegar mixed with gall and myrrh (the sopor) was given, for the purpose of deadening the pangs of the sufferer. Our Lord refused this cup, that his senses might be clear (Mt 27:34). The spongeful of vinegar, sour wine, posca, the common drink of the Roman soldiers, which was put on a hyssop stalk and offered to our Lord in contemptuous pity (Mt 27:48; Lu 23:36), he tasted to allay the agonies of his thirst (Joh 19:29). The accounts given of the crucifixion of our Lord are in entire agreement with the customs and practices of the Roman in such cases. He was crucified between two "malefactors" (Isa 53:12; Lu 23:32), and was watched by a party of four soldiers (Joh 19:23; Mt 27:36,54), with their centurion. The "breaking of the legs" of the malefactors was intended to hasten death, and put them out of misery (Joh 19:31); but the unusual rapidity of our Lord's death (Joh 19:33) was due to his previous sufferings and his great mental anguish. The omission of the breaking of his legs was the fulfilment of a type (Ex 12:46). He literally died of a broken heart, a ruptured heart, and hence the flowing of blood and water from the wound made by the soldier's spear (Joh 19:34). Our Lord uttered seven memorable words from the cross, namely, (1) Lu 23:34; (2) Lu 23:43; (3) Joh 19:26; (4) Mt 27:46; Mr 15:34; (5) Joh 19:28; (6) Joh 19:30; (7) Lu 23:46. 1. The crux simplex (I), a "single piece without transom." 2. The crux decussata (X), or St. Andrew's cross. 3. The crux commissa (T), or St. Anthony's cross. 4. The crux immissa (t), or Latin cross, which was the kind of cross on which our Saviour died. Above our Lord's head, on the projecting beam, was placed the "title." (See Crucifixion.) After the conversion, so-called, of Constantine the Great (B.C. 313), the cross first came into use as an emblem of Christianity. He pretended at a critical moment that he saw a flaming cross in the heavens bearing the inscription, "In hoc signo vinces", i.e., By this sign thou shalt conquer, and that on the following night Christ himself appeared and ordered him to take for his standard the sign of this cross. In this form a new standard, called the Labarum, was accordingly made, and borne by the Roman armies. It remained the standard of the Roman army till the downfall of the Western empire. It bore the embroidered monogram of Christ, i.e., the first two Greek letters of his name, X and P (chi and rho), with the Alpha and Omega. (See .) |

432 | Is God's elect the only ones to be saved | 2 Cor 4:3 | jlpangilinan | 31496
John 12:40-43 is the right verses. Sorry I put a wrong verses to support my answers 2 cor 4:3 and 4 These are the verses that I am going to support my answers. Joh 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. Joh 12:41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. Joh 12:42 ¶ Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: Joh 12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. It is God blided them, why? Like what I said they dont believed in Him. If you see at John 12:43 They praise of men more than the praise of God God bless, Johnny |

434 | Is God's elect the only ones to be saved | 2 Cor 4:3 | jlpangilinan | 31488
God blinded those who dont believed in Him. If you denied Him, it is God will blinded you in truth 2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Most of Israelist doesnt believed in Jesus that He is the Son of God that is why the crucified Him. So God blinded Israel because they dont believed. God everyone to be save, to be with Him: 2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. "but you should repent" before God will forgive you. But Israel (except to those who believe)completely denied Jesus as God that is God blinded them, because God blinded those who dont believed. 435 | God hates sin, loves sinner. Biblical? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 31464
We have to emphasize the term "sinner" all people had committed sin althought there are "perfect" mentioned in the bible: Ge 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. We all sinned because of Adam: 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. but because of Jesus Christ we shall "all" be made alive. When its mentioned "all" meaning we are all consider sinners but God love us that is why He sent Jesus Christ to save us. (John 3:16) But if you continue denying Him He said He will deny you to His Father. It is right God hates sin, but love us as a sinner if we ready to accept Jesus, we can receive His forgiveness. It is biblical truth. God bless, Johnny |

436 | John 15: Cut off branches and believers | 1 Cor 15:22 | jlpangilinan | 31270
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. This verses explain that all people consider all died becuase of Adam fell, but in Christ shall be made alive. It is mentioned "all" died in Adam. So in branches it is also consider "all" people are branches of Christ Who is this "good branches" and a "not good branches" that will be cut off? those who are received Christ, believed in Christ and followed Christ are good branches.: Mt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. And those who denied christ is the bad ones. All people are consider His branches good or bad becuase He is the everlasting Father of all creation: Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. but in those branches (people) there will be not fruitful and will be cast in fire, meaning those who are denied Christ. 437 | Any biblical answers to Mormon beliefs? | 1 John 4:1 | jlpangilinan | 30951
I did some books of mormons my niece belongs to them before. I dont know if aware that Momrmons belief that God is a man before like what we are now. They do believed that someday they will become God also. They believed that God the father that they are worshiping is Adam. They also believed that God has many wives, like Smith that has 48 wives and Young 36 if I am not mistaken. They are not belong to Christian believed and thier believed is very different compare to a Christian. They are allowed to have many wives. The biblical example maybe for them was the propecies: 1Jo 4:1 ¶ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. |

438 | What does the word Rama mean ? | Matt 2:18 | jlpangilinan | 30949
Easton Bible Dictionary Entry on: Rama (Mt 2:18), the Greek form of Ramah. (1.) A city first mentioned in Jos 18:25, near Gibeah of Benjamin. It was fortified by Baasha, king of Israel (1Ki 15:17-22; 2Ch 16:1-6). Asa, king of Judah, employed Benhadad the Syrian king to drive Baasha from this city (1Ki 15:18,20). Isaiah (Isa 10:29) refers to it, and also Jeremiah, who was once a prisoner there among the other captives of Jerusalem when it was taken by Nebuchadnezzar (Jer 39:8-12; 40:1). Rachel, whose tomb lies close to Bethlehem, is represented as weeping in Ramah (Jer 31:15) for her slaughtered children. This prophecy is illustrated and fulfilled in the re-awakening of Rachel's grief at the slaughter of the infants in Bethlehem (Mt 2:18). It is identified with the modern village of er-Ram, between Gibeon and Beeroth, about 5 miles due north of Jerusalem. (See Samuel.) (2.) A town identified with Rameh, on the border of Asher, about 13 miles south-east of Tyre, "on a solitary hill in the midst of a basin of green fields" (Jos 19:29). (3.) One of the "fenced cities" of Naphtali (Jos 19:36), on a mountain slope, about seven and a half miles west-south-west of Safed, and 15 miles west of the north end of the Sea of Galilee, the present large and well-built village of Rameh. (4.) The same as Ramathaim-zophim (q.v.), a town of Mount Ephraim (1Sa 1:1,19). (5.) The same as Ramoth-gilead (q.v.), 2Ki 8:29; 2Ch 22:6. |

439 | My mom is praying to saints for | Jude 1:9 | jlpangilinan | 30584
Did your mother read the bible regularly? It seems that she is belongs to catholic religion. I know the reason they make when you tell them that they dont have to pray to Idols and to saints. They are taught that way, it is very hard to change thier tradition. First you pray to God that He will help you explain to your mom that praying except to God is wrong. Second, you must act as a good Christian so that you mom will realize that you're belongs to a right congregation, your mom should show the fruit of what you believed. If your mom find out that are good she maybe convince that you are belong to a good religion. It was written "good fruit produce good fruit": Mt 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Mt 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. If your mom saw good fruit in you, she cannot comment when start teaching them of what is the right way of praising God. When you tell her that it is bad to worship an Idol of saints she maybe answers that God look at the heart because in thier heart they will say that it is God they are worshiping and not the graven image that in front of them. Just tell your mom, that when God say "no" meaning it is "NO" He said: Ex 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: That means "any graven images" (including the images of the saints)and if God say No it is "NO" Here is the example of when God say no is "NO" 2Sa 6:5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals. 2Sa 6:6 ¶ And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. 6. 2Sa 6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. In those passages very clear that the motive of the man hold the ark is to prevent it to fall to the ground so it will not broken, but he died when he hold the ark. We know that God warning to moses that dont touch the ark and whoever touch it will die. If you analyze the motive of the man is good but God kill that man, because He said dont touch and meaning dont touch. The motive maybe of your mother is good by putting images and praying to saints. She may tell you it helps her to love God more. But god gave us guidelines how to worship Him not just because we want this kind of worship but we know it is the right way of worshiping God. In Jude 1:9 mention is made of a contention between Michael and the devil about the body of Moses. This dispute is supposed to have had reference to the concealment of the body of Moses so as to prevent idolatry. I hope it would helps. God bless, Johnny |

440 | Who inthe Bible had no hope to go Heaven | Gen 6:9 | jlpangilinan | 30561
NO! no one in the bible as Human being are sinless. There are perfect like Noah but we they sinned. Ge 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. It is impossible that if you walk with God and then you have no hope consider that you spoke under inspiration of God. It is impossible Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. God bless, Johnny |
