Bible Question: If we are doubting God, is it ok to ask Him for a sign to confirm our faith in Him? |
Bible Answer: Thomas once doubt the ressurection of Christ from death. It is the same us christian sometimes we are doubting our faith in God. Your question is "Is it Ok to ask God for Sign" what sign really is that? a miracle? When Thomas doubting Christ, the Lord did not angry to Thomas, but He mentioned a very interesting lesson to them and to us: Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. In my own personal life, I asked myself many times, do I have to believed in God just because of a sign? or Do I believed in God because of the Miracles? If God will show it to me I will be thankful but if not I will be thankful too. Of course you and me and some other experiencing that we doubting our faith in Him. In my case sometimes I am doubting if there is really God, and thanks for overcoming it. Joh 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 25. Joh 20:26 ΒΆ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 26. Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Maybe Thomas is an example to us if we sometimes doubting our faith to Jesus Christ. God bless, Johnny |
