261 | remarry | Gen 1:1 | justme | 224641
MN66: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. I am sorry for your daughters loss, this must be hard on her and yo. There is no place in Scripture that says a person con not remarry when a marriage partner passes on. Do you mean is there a place that women should not receieve help from the church until she is older? Blessings. justme |

262 | water to wine means drinking O.K.? | Gen 1:1 | justme | 241523
gbrainard: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. Perhaps no other passage have people who do drink, bring as justification for drinking. As a pastor Many people would come and give verse as proof that drinking was acceptable in Jesus' opinion. But not so, the wine was reduced by 6 to 8 times, which is much different than today. I believe it's best for Christians to stay with soft drinks. That leaves no way to give a bad testimony. justme |

263 | Eve was GOD's gift to Adam. Meaning? | Gen 2:7 | justme | 59977
SWAZ:Genesis 2:27 Wow what a wonderful God we have! God knew exactly what each of His creations needed! Tommorow my wife and I will have been married 33 years! My wife is a God gift for sure! Any man knows his wife is a gift, or he is dumb as dirt! Woman completes the man, not the other way around. I would be a disorganized mess without my wife. By the way the best year of marriage? Is the one you are in! Thank you Lord for my dear wife! agape, justme |

264 | What about human cloning? | Gen 2:7 | justme | 59984
Hank: Even if they do cloning, that person has a soul, not connected to the orginal fron whom the clone came from. That person would still be responsible to God for either being a Christian or rejecting Christ. The medical ethicals is such that even Doctors have problems with this cutting edge expermentation. I am willing to state my opinion, ready for a blast of disagreement. That I do not believe pregnancy started out side the womb, with any mans sperm,or wonams egg, other than the husbands sperm or wifes egg is wrong. For me that amounts to adultery outside the womb. I wonder at what point will mankind admit that rather than God being in control of our reproductive lives, we have gone too far? I say this with sorrow for those who believe other wise. I see that mankind is seeking to become as wise as God, which was from the begining, and always shall be. Cloning is wrrong! To think of another "justme" walking about is more that even I could endure. Now perhaps another Hank? The world might be better off. aagape. justme |

266 | Creatures or Man 1st Created? | Gen 2:19 | justme | 165051
showalter: I am no "Scholar" however it is my understanding that one chapter is an overview and the other is more specfic. There seems to be no problem as far as I can see, God created creatures first, then man. Woman cane from man. Adam came from Eve. I am not saying mankind as some of the recent poorly translated versiond have so distorted the text. Just to name a few, the New Living Translation. the Message, and perhaps the second worst translation nest to the New World Translation, the TNIV. I am certian there are scholars who might well join in with other remarks. Blessings. Justme |

267 | How many wives can a man have | Gen 2:24 | justme | 133719
fweathers: This is an odd question, and I wonder why you ask? I believe the Biblical answer is you are bound to each other till death. Upon death there are some of us that would never remarry as we feel that out vows last forever. Then there are those who cant live without a spouse, which is not a sin. So as long as you mate has died without your assistance, you can marry one at a time as long as you both live. I will add this note that for the Christian divorce should never be an option. justme |

268 | can a man have two wives ? | Gen 2:24 | justme | 174847
Annointed child: Besides being against the law, this man is mentally in control of these women and abusing them both. Most likely he is a Morman, living is a hidden or hard to reach place. Often within these communities there are child brides which is pure mollestation. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 say to avoid even the appearences of evil. If anything is evil, this situation is for sure. 269 | Why did Eve orginally leave the garden? | Gen 3:1 | justme | 99516
Tomsweetstir: You statement that "It is obvious, just from reading all the clues in Genesis 3, that satan and Eve's discussion began outside the Garden." I have never heard this before. Could you please share with me how you come to this conclusion? Thanks, and blessings. justme |

270 | Who was the parents of Cain's wife | Gen 5:4 | justme | 226602

271 | Genesis angels creating giants? | Gen 6:2 | justme | 239776
nasus: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. Angels are not male or female, and do not reproduce, therefore they could not have had sexual relations with humans. This is a falsehood repeated over and over the many years. The very best way to leran these things for yoyrself is to begin reading the Bible everyday for yourself. Begin with the New Testament in reading just 3 chapters a day you will read the entire Bible in one year. Blessings justme |

272 | What does the Bible say about anal sex? | Gen 19:1 | justme | 214763
humility: Although stjohn answered your question, This is a question that should not be brought into the Study Bible Forum. This is my opinion, and does not represent the SBF or Lockman. I consider this question a waste of your and our time. If there were some younger viewers on the forum this would be offensive to the parents. Please, ask some trusted adult rather than asking here. There is a generation that thinks anything that comes to mind is ok to discuss in any place at anytime. I am an old stickler about somethings just don;t belong for everyone to read. I hope there are others that see this as I do. justme (an old man) |

273 | why gen. 27: 39 differs in kjv vs nasb | Gen 27:39 | justme | 214398
asilra: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! Very interesting question too. The INTERLINEAR bIBLE by Jay P. Green, Sr. General Editor and Translator. Hendrockson Publishers 1984 says, " and lifted Esau his voice and wept. And Isaac his father and said to him, Behold from the fat of the earth shall be your abode and from of the dew of the heavens above;" The NASB Genesis 27:39 " Then Issac his father answered to him, "Behold, away from the fertility of the earth shall be your dwelling." The NASB is by far the more accurate in translation, as well the NIV. Bothe translations used much older manuscripts, and better educated scholars. The KJV and the NKJV are not up the the better sources that the NASB and the NIV used. I believe the key is the word "from". Does one say it means to take from or to stay away from. I looked at the 2919 in srtongs and then 278 and 276, I believe the "from" means the keep away from. I hope this gives a clearer understanding. And again welcome to the SBF. justme |

276 | Historical Christian Stance on Slavery? | Exodus | justme | 59905
Vannessa: In our own country the Southern Baptist and Norther Baptist, split over the issue of slavery. Today the Northern Baptist are the American Baptist Churches of the USA. The Southern Baptist Convention still is alive and quite well today. However, as we know they do not support slavery today. As in any war, the Civil war had Christians on both sides. War for me is the ultimate evil. If all the men who died in the Civil War would have lived, and there would have been no Civil War, the population of the United States could have been a third more than now. If we factored in all the babies who been aborthed we would be a different nation! There would not be a population facing less people to support the Social Security System, as the baby boomers must face retirement, many will have to put off retirement to about 72 years of age to retire. That is according to Larry Burkett in Crown Ministries. So if more of our population is faced with working longer, with for the most part, with less expendable income than their parents, we have inslaved ourselves in a different war. Have we not? Give us something to think about, right? agape, justme |

277 | angered at God?? | Exodus | justme | 61221
abbub3: Exodus 4:1 to 17. I believe Moses was angered at God. Would that be considered the kind of anger you are thinking about? Also Cain in killing able. Cain was called of God but did not follow Gods will. Satan surely got angry and so much so he becane the evil one. Although Sayan was not a man to begin with. Hope this adds to some thoughts. justme |

278 | Exo 12:29 | Ex 12:23 | justme | 233963
Hello Herman: I have read a good number of your post's. There is no doubt you are well educated, and must have an extensive library along with a great ability for recalling a lot. I would say you have the ability to debate that challenges, and sharpens most that come up against you. I would guess you may have a PHD. Your command of English sure puts me to shame anyway, but so do a lot of others. I believe the book of JOB as recorded is an accurate account of real events. I believe the Bible to be true, every bit. I don't consider myself to be an expert on any one book of the Bible, but I do study it and learn from it all the time. There are some issues that are well worth while standing firm and digging in for all it's worth, and even going to the wall over. There are areas that are debatable, and both sides of the issue have great points and either side could be right. But those subjets are no reason for disfellowship betweeen each other. However, even in areas of disagreement there is no acceptable reason to be high and mighty. I believe this forum is often read by a lot of people just looking about. The way the Study Bible Forum presents its post's either encourages people to ask a question, or gets turned off by what they think is endless debate and unkind words. That's not to say debating is bad. But there is a tone or way we say words that gives a strong negative feeling, or a or positive welcome. John 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." NASB. I will nor speak for anyone else. However, I will give you my opinion. You come across like you are a expert and only your remarks are vaild. This is not a place for competition or that anyone knows it all. For a very long time kindness, respect, and Christian love has been what the Study Bible Forum participant's have tried to illuminate. I sincerely welcome you to the Study Bible Forum. Your eagerness to join in is a challenge and all of us need learn from one another. Blessings. justme |

280 | justme, Do we disobey the fourth only? | Ex 20:10 | justme | 53612
Searcher:Jesus said that if we keep His Commandments then we have fulfilled them all. Searcher YOU are Under Grace not the Law. Jesus did fulfill the law, but He gave an even harder list of commands! Now we are to love our neighbor as ourselves! That mean You MUST love even me! We are under a New Covenant, the Old Covenant of Law was ended by Christ Shedding His blood on the cross as a final payment for your and my sins. If you are going to obey the 10 commandments then you MUST offer Blood offerings for your sins. And according to Hebrews if that's the case Christ died for nothing! Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb of God? agape, justme |
