141 | eternal life/death question | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 50734
Your question is simple, but takes a lot of time to process it over in you own mind. God wants us to love Him of our own free will. In giving us freedom to choose, there must be a choice to make. If we choose to love God then logic must follow that we have the choice not to love. So in creating the choice he also created the choice or consequense to be bad. Either way it is our choosing. No one is insane, it is a matter of free will. To add into this equastionGod because He is all knowing he Knows ahead who will be saved and who will not. Remember God does not do the choosing. However because He is all knowing those which are lost He foreknows. Some call this predestination. Others call it election. No matter what you call it the heart of every Christian out to be sharing Christ as we do not know who will make Christ Lord. We are to be Christ's ambassadors. This part of theology sparks big debates, which I would say This is how I understand the Word. If someone has a better answer th share that listento it and read the Word and make up your own mind. agape, justme |

144 | are there some people born evil? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 51943
I do not believe in per determination. However Because God knows begining to end even thouhg God has not made our choices, He knows what what we will choose. Because He will not force us to love or worship Him we do have freeom of our will to choose. In order to have our own free will there must have something to male choices about. Good and Evil are strictly up to us. I hope this is not too confusing. agape, justme |

145 | Is this considered a foul in Gods eyes? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 52070
I agree! I think carpet on the church floors is a waste also, what's wrong with dirt floors? Why have paint on thw walls? In fact why not have services in the out doors? We need to get down to basics! We must be good stewards so we can spend the money doing......what? Raven do you have a auto? House? airconditioner, heater? Don't you believe we need to do all we can as good stewards to make our church and it's activities attract people? That way we can get them to see Christians are the happiest people on earth, thanks to Jesus Christ our Lord. We live near the Amish, and they live a very distinct simple but very hard lifestyle. They attract attention, but lack evangelism. I have several Amish friends, anf I love then dearly. But to each Christian is given a choice to live life. NO ONE WAY IS THE ONLY WAY. Think about it. agape. justme |

I will remind you that I came to you, in writing, and told you how offend I was at you coments. You totally ignored me! Do you feel comfortable just letting these feelings go by? I do not, and consider this a violation of Matthew 18. The only thing is I have no person to go with me to confront you. So please respond! I will not go away, I will pray that the Lord gives you encouragement to resolve your hostile attitude. I expect to hear from you. agape, farout |

vume: 2 Corinthians 5:7 The Christian life is a continous act of faith. From making Jesus Christ Lord at the first, Them Baptism, if we are to walk in faith. Every thing from point of making Jesus Lord is walking in faith, or our old nature. Faith is action, not a thing. When you drive a car at night your faith extends beyond the headlights, because most cars can't stop in the distance that the headlights light. So, we walk by faith not by sight! agape, justme |

149 | Did the Amplified come from Wescott and | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 52367
This is rather a long time from the posting of this question. But, maybe it's not too late. I heard this on a Phoenix AZ. Christian radio station several years ago. I called Lockman Foundation and repeated what I had heard. They wrote me back, giving me a lengthy detailed letter. To give their response a basic answer, No! No one refuted anything about the NASB. What is most interesting is the whole story of Wescott and Hort is so untrue. Again this is a false rumor that is repeated with out having been read by the person repeating the error. In other words gossip. Does anyone believe for one moment that the KJV did not have sinfull men, human and frail working on that translation? There is no such thing as aperfect translation, as long as humankind is involved. Of all translations the NASB updated, far exceeds any word for word translation. At least that's my honest opinion. However with so many, many, english translations that are avaliable, even the most liberal, a person can still find Christ as Lord. I do not include the New World Translation of the JW. The sad thing is we are a nation of Biblically ignorant people. Is something wrong here? agape, justme |

151 | is there gender in the spirit? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 52816
Galatians 3:28. God the father, God the Son, And God the Holy Spirit have no gender as physically being male or female, if that's what you are asking. As Holy Men penned what The Spirit of God told the writers to say the language was so percisely given so us humans could understand it th smallest degree. The deep we go imto the origanl languages to more depth to the littelest dot means. With every thing man does the closer we look the deeper the flaws. Truely amazing how perfest Gof is. agape, justme |

154 | Brand new out of date NASB? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 55157
Gould55: Book stores, especially Christian bookstores have about 4 percent profit margin. When they order some Bible it may sit for sometime before it is sold. There is a likely posibility that the update came out a good time after yours was printed. I am not sure, but I have not seen a Thompson Chain Reference NASB updated version yet. Perhaps Thompson has not yet printed it. I had a simular thing with the Indepth Study Bible in NASB. I got the old thee and Thou one. I was very unhappy. I buy only genuine leather as they are made to last a lifetime. So my ignorance it cost me about 80 dollars. I did get the NASB Study Bible Updated by Zondervan, and I am very pleased! So it is buyer beware. If you have not marked in it you might take it back to the store, and see what they are willing to do. Perhaps even if you have marked in it, if the Bookstore knows you were not fully informed they might out of good will make some adjustment. For me the difference was so much I gave the older translation away. My are we not blessed that we can buy things that some people will never have a chance to own. God Bless. agape, justme |

155 | On-Line Bible education? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 55785
Gould55: These are just my thoughts about on-line line Bible colleges. There are Seminary classes as well. No matter where you go DO NOT TAKE A CLASS UNLESS YOU GET TEANSFERABLE CREDIT! There are some bible schools that you can spend as much for a non acredited education as a fully acredited institution. So cost may, or may not be the true value of a Bible class. Even with carefull planing a person can lose credits when transfering from one college to another. My belief is Biblical education in a good solid Bible believing college, is an investment that will last you into eternity! My Bible education started when I was 38 and with 4 children and a very wonderfully supportive wife, I went to Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix, AZ, and then to Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, KS. My wife went as well and both got our BA and M Div. degrees. That experience lives in us everyday. No one can ever take away what you learned. God bless you as you make this very wonderfull jorney! agape, justme |

Welcome to the Forum! RIP: Wonderfull question. I will answer you with a question, if don't mind. Does it matter to you that you are not baptized? That is the real question. I can tell that baptism is an outward confession of a inward change. Have you come to the point where you have asked Jesus Christ to be your LORD, that means you are making Him boss of your life? I f you answered yes, then yes it definitely does matter, if you want to follow Jesus and His way. RIP, rarely have I seen a proffessing, born again genuine Christian, refuse to be baptized. I suppose it is like having the keys to an expensive new car you have always wanted, and it's yours! But you do not want to go the dealership to pick it up. You own the car, it's yours, but until you get in the car you are not going to go too far. In other words you are saved if you have made Christ Lord. But to grow as a Christian, you must follow your leaders orders. Right? When I was a pastor when the baptism was done I would say, to those who yet had not been baptized "her is water, what stops you from following the Lord Jesus' Command?" That would be the question I would ask of you RIP. I will remember you in prayer. God bless you RIP. agape, justme |

157 | Bibical Christianity | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 62469
New Creature:I hope you don't mind me entering into you question about "Biblical Christianity". There are some, for instance the General Association of Regular Baptist, who openly say in their folders about what they believe, that American Baptist's are any thing but Biblical. So it is with other non-denominational or extreme fundamentalist who believe that any other church type other than theirs is not Biblical. Neither belief of which do I condem or condone. This is just a small example of some groups idea, of what "Biblical Christianity" would mean to these groups. I do not agree with their belief about who is a "Biblical" Christian, and who is not. I am tring to point out that the meaning of "Biblical Christianity" is understood in the way a person, church, or non-or, denomination understands what exactly the Universal Bride of Christ is. I am more ecumentical than some, and less than others. I do not believe in universalism! I personally believe the Universal Church to be wide, incorporating believers of many non-, or denominations. The only true church is one in which Jesus Christ is devine and risen. I strongly, with all my soul, believe the most important issue for a "Biblical Christianity" is stated in Galations 5:6, especially the last part which says "The only thing that counts is Faith expressing itself through love" NIV. Beliving as I do, then there has always been "Bibical Christanity" and at no one period of time, or person has made a significant change to be totally "Biblical Christianity" except the Lord Jesus Christ. I do not think that the further we get from the time of Christ to now, that orthodox "Biblical Christianity" has become weaker, in deed the very opposite, in my opinion. This is just my dimes worth, I hope it gives you food for thought. justme |

tlcsal: This is a story preachers have used in what a shepherd will do to save a sheep from dying on a cliff. A good book to read is A SHEPHERD LOOKS AT THE 23rd PSALM. This book goes into great detail on what a shepherd has to do tokeep his sheep healthy and grazing well. justme |

160 | Is marriage when you sign a paper ? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 68754
When "married" couples get a divorce they need to legally dislove it. Jesus said that it was required to give a certificate of divorce or it was causing the woman to become an adultrer. How would you fair in this? No paper means no marriage! Thats plain and simple! You are foolish if you go along with fornicating with this guy. Either he marries you legally or you are living in contradiction of Christ's ways. Immorality is clearly explanined, you know what he said is wrong! Who will you obey, your sexual desires or Christ? The choice is yours. justme |
