Hi Edie, I almost didn’t respond to your reply. My reply is motivated not by the fact that you are new to the forum nor that you believe in the trinity doctrine for sure but I notice that you have in your personal profile expressions as follows that pricked my curiosity. Jehovah-Jireh. “Jehovah Will See to [It]; Jehovah Will Provide.” Jehovah-Shalom’s. Jehovah’s peace. Jehovah- Rapha. “Jehovah Heals.” Jehovah-Shammah. “Jehovah is there.” Jehovah-Rohi. “Jehovah Shepherds.” Jehovah-Nissi. “Jehovah Is My Signal Pole,” by deriving nis·si´ from nes, “signal pole”; LXX, “Jehovah Is My Refuge,” by deriving nis·si´ from nus, “to flee for refuge”; Vg, “Jehovah Is My Exaltation,” by deriving nis·si´ from na·sas´, “to hoist; to lift up.” One that is convinced to depth of my soul that Jehovah-Jireh made the provision for our redemption through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. One that enjoys Jehovah-Shalom’s peace that passes understanding. One that is grateful for the healing that Jehovah-Rapha provided. One that experiences joy because He changed my appetites. One that is confident that Jehovah-Shammah will always be there. I am still a work in progress. He is not done with me yet. I am confident that He shepherds me always; Jehovah-Rohi tends to me as a sheep needing care. Jehovah –Nissi is my banner. Yes, Jehovah is my banner or refuge, too and He is the One I turn to for guidance comfort, and peace. Jesus’ example enables us to better understand his personal qualities such as love, compassion tolerance and peace. It’s unusual to find one that appreciates God’s name. The follow cite is interesting though long but has numerous scholarly observations that tells me that the yhwh was in the original New Testament. Hope you print it out and prayerfully consider what it has because "The unadulterated Bible is what God gave us" not the "changed versions". http://www.jehovah.to/exegesis/ntstudies/tetragram.htm Tara1 |

Greetings Tara1: You wrote, "Yes, Jehovah is my banner or refuge, too and He is the One I turn to for guidance comfort, and peace. Jesus’ example enables us to better understand his personal qualities such as love, compassion tolerance and peace." My question is WHO is this Jesus? Is He YHWH? Wondering about your "theology" . . . mommapbs |

3 | Is Jesus YHWH? | OT general | Aniset | 107199 | ||
The person who became known as Jesus Christ did not begin life here on earth. He himself spoke of his prehuman heavenly life. (Joh 3:13; 6:38, 62; 8:23, 42, 58) John 1:1, 2 gives the heavenly name of the one who became Jesus, saying: "In the beginning the Word [Gr., Lo´gos] was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god ["was divine," AT; Mo; or "of divine being," Böhmer; Stage (both German)]. This one was in the beginning with God." Since Jehovah is eternal and had no beginning (Ps 90:2; Re 15:3), the Word's being with God from "the beginning" must here refer to the beginning of Jehovah's creative works. This is confirmed by other texts identifying Jesus as "the firstborn of all creation," "the beginning of the creation by God." (Col 1:15; Re 1:1; 3:14) Thus the Scriptures identify the Word (Jesus in his prehuman existence) as God's first creation, his firstborn Son. That Jehovah was truly the Father or Life-Giver to this firstborn Son and, hence, that this Son was actually a creature of God is evident from Jesus' own statements. He pointed to God as the Source of his life, saying, "I live because of the Father." According to the context, this meant that his life resulted from or was caused by his Father, even as the gaining of life by dying men would result from their faith in Jesus' ransom sacrifice.-Joh 6:56, 57. Not a co-Creator. The Son's share in the creative works, however, did not make him a co-Creator with his Father. The power for creation came from God through his holy spirit, or active force. (Ge 1:2; Ps 33:6) And since Jehovah is the Source of all life, all animate creation, visible and invisible, owes its life to him. (Ps 36:9) Rather than a co-Creator, then, the Son was the agent or instrumentality through whom Jehovah, the Creator, worked. Jesus himself credited God with the creation, as do all the Scriptures.-Mt 19:4-6 |

Aniset, you stated, “Since Jehovah is eternal and had no beginning (Ps 90:2; Re 15:3), the Word's being with God from "the beginning" must here refer to the beginning of Jehovah's creative works.You wrote: “Jesus himself credited God with the creation, as do all the Scriptures.-Mt 19:4-6” Not true! If you read Psalm 89:20-27, you will better understand how Scripture interrupts Scripture. David was the youngest of Jesse’s sons, yet God declared He would make David “the first-born”. God didn’t change the “order of David’s birth”. God meant by “the first born” that David would have preeminent over all the kings of Israel. David is still considered Israel’s “best”. In the context of Col. 1:15, we learn that Col 1:16 informs us “for by Him (Jesus Christ) were ALL things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL things were created by Him (Jesus Christ) and for Him (Jesus Christ).” Surely you are not suggesting that Jesus created Himself, since it clearly states Jesus is the creator of all. This is often confirmed in Scripture. Like Eph 2:9 “…mysteries, which from the beginning of the world have been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.” Concering your claim Col 1:15; Re 1:1; 3:14) –“Thus the Scriptures identify the Word (Jesus in his prehuman existence) as God's first creation, his firstborn Son.” Haven’t you NOTICED what else Revelation declares concerning the term “the beginning”? Rev 21:6-7 states that the Alpha and Omega, the BEGINNING and the end … I will be their God…” God places Himself in context with the beginning AND the end. Apparently, “beginning” (the Greek word “arche”, from Rev. 3:14) MEANS something other than what you thought. It is the same word we get architect from. In other verses it is translated governor, magistrates, first, principalities. It is also the same word that you will find in Luke 12:11. “arche” is translated “government officials”. Taking Scripture as a whole, Rev. 3:14 IS plainly talking about Jesus Christ (the creator of all things), is the ruler of God’s creation. Blessinigs, Taleb |
