Great answer! Here are some more scriptures to help everyone have their own convictions: Mark 16:15-16,Acts 2:36-41,Romans 6:1-11 In Matthew 26:28, Jesus (The Savior) explains that His blood is poured out for the forgiveness of sins --- Jesus blood is what forgives man of his sin. Hi Middleton, Thanks for making the very good point. I believe, as you do, that water baptism is the place where God forgives. It isn't my work, it isn't the water, it isn't the baptizer, but "I'm raised by my faith in the working of God who raised Him (Jesus) from the dead" (Col. 2:12). ABSOLUTELY! Salvation is a gift that cannot be earned or a work of man. It is a work of the Living God and He determined the how's and the why's. If we have any work to do, it is to study the scriptures and OBEY! In Christ, Rocky |
