1 | Church is kidnapped to Sodom! | James 2:8 | Ivory313 | 58211
Dear Pastor Paul Thanks for your advice. I will discuss this matter with a senior pastor from another church. I do'nt feel comfortable to see the sinner pastor alone. May be someone can go with me later. In fact, the case is much more complicated than you can imagine. He is teaching theology class in seminary. His wife is working in seminary too. He and his wife live in the housing provided by seminary. If I disclose the issue, He will lose his job, lose his family and lose his house. I need some time to discuss it with my senior pastor. I wish the Lord will give me wisdom. Pls pray for us. In christ, ivory313 |

2 | Church is kidnapped to Sodom! | James 2:8 | John Reformed | 58572
Dear Ivory, Why would you go to a pastor from another church? Do you not trust your own leadeship? I'm not a hard-hearted person. But this is a serious situation that needs to be dealt with the the leadership of YOUR church. If they have a wolf among the flock they must be made aware of it. They are the one's that God has placed as guardians over His sheep in the pasture where you worship. I pray God will grant you the grace to do that which is pleasing in His sight. Your Brother John |

3 | Church is kidnapped to Sodom! | James 2:8 | Ivory313 | 58574
Dear John, Hong Kong is different from USA. Churches are very near to one another. We can attend more than four churches per day in Hong Kong. We have membership in the mother church, but recently we join the worship and fellowship for another church because we don't like the chief pastor in our mother church. If a church has so much sexual sin and gossip that cannot be solved for so many years, there must be problem structurally. That all I can expose to you. I don't want to give too much judgment in this issue. Think about the below: 1. Preventive action is always better than corrective action. Will you go to bible daily or only when there is problem and test? 2. It is wrong for a seminary to concentrate only on academic without concern about the spiritual life of their student. 3. Study bible cannot make us holy. 4. Are we using God's word to satisfy ourselves rather using ourselves to follow God's word? I use Psalm 50:16-23 to describe the pastor sin in sex. |

4 | Church is kidnapped to Sodom! | James 2:8 | John Reformed | 58580
Dear Ivory, I understand how this situation has hurt your heart. We all suffer to see the Lord exposed to scorn by the sins of His people. It is especially bad when sexual sin is found in our appointed leaders. What we cannot know for certain is the spiritual condition of another person. If this man is among God's elect, God will use this sin to cause him to repent and to humble himself and ultimately good will be the result. However if he is not a christian I pity that man and would not want to be in his shoes for all the pleasure this fallen world has to offer. God will exact justice upon him. In the meantime (and always): Trust in the Lord John |
