Bible Question: Two years ago, a brother and a sister in our church had sexual relationship. Both are single. Later the girl was suffered from venereal disease. Two week ago, we discovered a married pastor has sexual relationship with a single sister in the church for one year. The pastor keeps leading praise and worship in many revival meeting. Does the bible have any advise when the church is in such situation? Actually, these thing disappoint me a lot. I have been long for a pure and perfect church for many years. But I think it is impossible now. The church is full of conflict, full of gossip, full of sin. |
Bible Answer: There is no 100 perfect church out there. However it is not impossible to find a good church. They are churches where the unadulterated word of God is preached and teached. They will always be people who do not obey the word that is preached to them. Then there are some stumble and fall now and then, some more severely than others. However that should not be happening at the leadership level. Ask the LORD with a sincere heart to guide you to a church where his WORD is preached and teached. Since it is according to his will, he will guide you to a good church. Just live Holy. 1Timothy 3 chapter list the requirements for the church leadership. If the leadership is not living up to those requirements then it is not the church for you. May the Lord guide you in this matter. |
