Hello, Joe! A quick search of the TNIV shows that God retains his title Father, so this is something of a non sequitur. Don't be misled by the oft-cited article on baptistpress.com. When the headline refers to the TNIV as a "revision" not a "translation", their position is pretty clear. Despite their claims, the TNIV is not gender-neutral - as the above example shows.
