1 | KJV vs "New Age Bible Versions"? | 2 Tim 3:16 | Morant61 | 98991 | ||
Greetings DarcyA! Paul also said: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Tim. 2:15 KJV. A godly education is a wonderful thing. I know that I spent 7 years at a college which takes God's word seriously. At that college and seminary, I learned many useful things. I can honestly say that I am much better prepared now to minister the word of God than I would have been had I not gone. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Tim, I think my answer to this post in a post to Ed I think. I didn't mean to cause such a disturbance over this issue. I believe you don't need the degree to teach the Word of God. That is all I am saying. I believe if you know Christ and Christ Crucifed is all that you NEED the rest is a bonus if used right. |

Greetings DarcyA! No disturbance here! :-) I agree that you don't NEED a degree to teach the Word of God. At the same time though, many people act as though a decree is a bad thing. It isn't. A quality education simply helps a person be more effective and more useful. It should be encouraged among Christians, not discouraged. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
