1 | Why no prophets anymore? | 1 Cor 14:5 | nathanbgerman | 235791
Why are there no prophets in today's world? Many people seem to say that the reason is because we have the Bible now and no longer need prophets. However, 1 Corinthians 14:5 seems to me to suggest the gift of prophesy should still be possible. By the way, who was the last prophet mentioned in the Bible?

You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit." (Matthew 7:15-18 NASB) Fortunately, the Lord God has given us His Word by which we may know Him and know our own spirit and the spirit of others. In Him, Doc |
