1 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | casiv | 25767 | ||
Hello charis, Peace to you in humbleness. Please understand my humble point is: You and the other men who put women down owe women an apology. Also, since I am a man it is not my place to correct you, a woman will do that soon enough and show you the Love of Jesus , which is equally given to all men and women to be equal in whatever role the Father chooses them to be in. In love all are equal. My religious affiliation is faith, hope and love, thanks for asking. Peace in the name of Jesus, our Savior, casiv |

casiv, I think I would like to hear from women about this. You have not given any Biblical support for your opinion. Well, ladies, do I owe you an apology? If you think so, please remember this venue is dedicated to Bible study, so provide Scriptural evidence. Also, please cite why MY posts are degrading, not why MEN are chauvinists. :-) I know that I am taking a real chance here, but our colleague seems to be prophesying that one of you will set me straight. Now's your opportunity! :-) By the way, casiv, I have already clearly stated that *in Christ Jesus* we are all equal. I don't recall any men stating differently. In the home and in the church, the Bible places final authority and responsibility on men. Why? I really don't know! But it IS God's holy Word. :-) casiv, trying to get some clear answers about your faith is very similar to catching 'unagi!' (fresh-water eel) The difference is that I CAN catch 'unagi.' In Christ Jesus, charis |

Dear Charis, I got curious as to what you might be told to apologize for. I've read parts this thread. I haven't been insulted by anything anyone has said. Especially the gentlemen I'm familiar with who are responding within this thread. Let me tell you what I feel - Much of the feminist movement that started way back when has done nothing but make women extremely unhappy. I'm in the heart of computerland. The Silicon Valley. Women don't cook, don't clean and and don't nurture their families. (That is to say, leave their children in day care.) And they're proud of this! However, they still expect men to pick up the check and open doors for them. See where I'm going with this? They're all on a downward spiral into misery. I love the traditional role of women. I LOVE to cook, I LOVE to clean. Nurturing is a specialty. Yes, I'm a bible toting wierdo. But along with all those ladies with their calvin klein suits, suv's and painted nails, who is the happy one? ME! You know how it's not good to give your dog a chicken bone? No matter how bad he wants it? Some days I feel all this girl power stuff is our chicken bone. Don't get me wrong. I'm strong and independent. But so much these days teaches us Me Me Me - I'm not happy in my marriage so I'm leaving. I'm not happy in my job so I'm leaving. What ever happened to the joy of a good days work? I miss the days when we wore our Sunday best, complete with hats and gloves. Oh how I long for the days when folks didn't insist on "idle chit chat." Why is it so many people are uncomfortable with silence? Be well friend Charis, Lisa |
